Nonpareil Equine Services offers riding lessons, yoga for equestrians, and horsemanship clinics in western Pennsylvania.

Meagan Greygor, founder of Nonpareil Equine Services, grew up riding and showing hunter/jumpers in western Pennsylvania. While she dabbled in dressage, combined training, team penning and barrel racing, she always came back to the hunter ring. She studied equine science at Otterbein College and was fortunate to work for a few top professionals in the hunter/jumper world, traveling to shows up and down the east coast. When she decided to focus solely on teaching, she worked her way up to become the head instructor at Saddletree Stables in North Carolina. With nearly 30 years of experience, Meagan stresses good horsemanship and classic equitation in her riding lessons, teaching her students not only good safety and form, but everything about caring for their horse from the ground up. She also strives to build camaraderie amongst her students both on the farm and away at shows. Meagan believes you can never stop learning, and enjoys teaching children and adults alike. She has continued learning in this industry by becoming certified in Technical Large Animal Emergency Rescue, Equine Cruelty Investigation, and Open Horse Show Judging. She now resides in western Pennsylvania and offers not only riding lessons, but horse show judging, horsemanship seminars and clinics, and the occasional grooming service, simply because that is something she takes great pride in and enjoys.

For these few weeks of autumn, Black Dog Stables is extra pretty. 🍂🤩🍂

Two Point October finale week is no joke.

“You rode so well, what are you doing on the ground?” Pixie asks Josie.

If you hold two point too long, your legs might have opinions on your dismount. 🫣😆

It’s spooky season alright. I feel like I walked in on the Nothing in the tack room. 🙀 IYKYK

My favorite monthly challenge of the year is here! Each week this month, riders will stay in their two-point position a little longer than the week before. The last week of the month, riders have the option to try to stay in jumping position as long as they can, through all of their gaits.

Some folks get a little competitive.

Things get a little crazy.

Sometimes I have to ask riders to please sit down when their legs start shaking.

Here we go… 🎃💪👏🎃

Ba****ck cooldowns are back! 🍂🐴❤️ These were tradition on the cool nights that I taught in North Carolina. While nobody really wants to sit on a hot sweaty horse when it’s 90 degrees, it hits a little different when the temps start to fall. Happy Autumn, y’all! 🍂

Students had some fun at the last horsemanship clinic of the year. Who says the barn has to always be so serious? 🐴❤️😄

Thinking ahead to next year, what unmounted topics would you like to learn more about? 🤔

Yes! 👏 Yoga and horses go together in so many ways. Love this.

“Boyd recently turned 47 and is at the top of his game. Most high-level athletes in other sports are long retired by that age. There’s not one particular thing that yoga has done to help his career. It’s a combination of the mental and physical benefits. The overall routine he's created is all about how he can stay in this game for another decade or so.”
~ Biz Magarity, Boyd Martin's longtime yoga instructor

In this new article from this year's Windurra Camp, Magarity details how yoga can help equestrians from both a physical and mental standpoint, the improvement she’s seen in Martin since he took up the practice and how to get started if you’re new to yoga.

Click on the link in the Comments below to learn how yoga just might improve your riding as well!
