After a hot day of racing, there’s nothing better than a refreshing smoothie to cool your core, rehydrate, and replenish what you’ve lost. Packed with vitamins, minerals, and healthy carbs, it’s the perfect post-race recovery drink.
Plus, carbs are often easier to digest in liquid form, especially when your gut has been pushed to its limits.
Ingredients
1 cantaloupe melon
1 honeydew melon
1 lime
1 lemon
50 g honey
600 ml apple juice

A wholesome, energy-packed snack that’s become a go-to favourite for the riders.
Makes 8 bars:
• 240g rolled oats
• 80g unsalted butter
• 24g extra-virgin olive oil
• 36g muscovado sugar
• 30g soft light brown sugar
• 20g caster sugar
• 50g honey
• 2.5g fine sea salt
• 40g chopped dates
• 30g chopped dried apricots
• 15g goji berries
• 20g sesame seeds
• 30g chopped almonds
• 30g chopped walnuts
