Due to escalating weather conditions, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Blue Ridge Ultra by one week. The event will now take place on Saturday, October 17.

This decision was not made lightly. The safety of our participants, crew, staff, and volunteers is our top priority, and the current forecast does not allow us to hold the event safely this weekend. We also have a responsibility to protect the trails we are privileged to race on. Extremely wet trails combined with heavy foot traffic can cause lasting damage, and postponing gives the course time to recover.

What you need to know:

- New race date: Saturday, October 17
- Schedule: The weekend schedule remains the same, simply moved one week later. All start times and scheduled activities are unchanged.
- Your registration: It carries over to the new date automatically. If you can join us on October 17, there is nothing you need to do.

Can't make the new date?

We understand that not everyone will be able to adjust their plans. If you are unable to attend, you may defer your registration to next year's event. If you defer, please reply to this email by December 1 to confirm that you will be attending next year. Registration opens at that time, and we cannot guarantee your spot if the race sells out.

We know how much training, planning, and travel goes into a race like this, and we are sorry for the disruption. Thank you for your patience and understanding. We look forward to seeing you on the course next weekend.

Come work off a that food after Thanksgiving with the Second Annual Turkey Burn Ultra (50K/25K) at Lake Louisa State Park on Saturday November 28, 2026.
Lake Louisa offers a unique blend of natural beauty, diverse ecosystems, and a variety of terrains that appeal to outdoor enthusiasts. Trails that wind through 11 distinct natural communities, including sand hills, swamp forests, creek crossings, lakeshores and hills.

We would like to thanks all 87 teams that came out to this year's BEAR adventure race. It was a tough one and that's why we call it the BEAR. We are still working on the results and you can look at the crazy routes that some of you took to get to the finish line on the Adventure Enablers website.

The BEAR Rain Jackets came in today and we will be shipping them out to the first 10 teams this week. See you all next year.

Announcement: Warrior has decided to limit the Sea to Sea Expedition Race to just 60 teams. This smaller field will help reduce the workload on our staff and volunteers while allowing us to better monitor and support teams throughout the race.
Our goal moving forward is to create a smaller, safer, and more personalized event—one that delivers a great experience for racers, volunteers, and everyone involved.
We hope this approach will make the Sea to Sea Expedition Race an event you simply can’t miss! We would like to thank the already 42 teams signed up for the 2027 event.

Huge Announcement! The Foothills 150
New Trail Run for 2027.

The first ever Foothills Trail 150 and 75 mile trail run in South Carolina.

There's a trail that cuts through the wildest corners of the Carolinas — and we're daring you to run every mile of it. Five years in the making, the Foothills 150 and Foothills 75 are fully supported ultramarathons on the legendary Foothills Trail, straddling the North and South Carolina border, presented in partnership with the Foothills Trail Conservancy. After Hurricane Helene devastated the trail in 2024, it's been a long road back — and now it's time. Starting and finishing at Table Rock State Park, the course runs the trail's full length out to Oconee State Park and back — 150 miles of rugged, non-stop backcountry running through the Blue Ridge foothills, supported by 8 aid stations, with the Foothills 75 offering the same iconic terrain at a shorter distance for first-timers.

The First 10 runners to sign-up in either distance will receive the exclusive Foothills 150/75 puffy jacket.
