🏆 Congrats to Draivyn for leveling up in the C Bracket Riding School!

🏆 Draivyn’s last thing to check off in Level 2 was the emergency dismount at the trot. We teach all of our students what to do when things go wrong - these skills will serve them well for a lifetime! The emergency dismount allows them to build the coordination and muscle memory to bail off if necessary and land feet down.

🏆 Our lesson horse PG helped Draivyn with her last skill, although he was already turned out and Bradley got to take the spotlight.

If you’d like to build your own riding skills, join our program! Private and semi-private lessons are always available, and our next group session begins in January.

💨 Windy days are good for all the stuff we like to avoid - dental work and barnkeeping!

💵 Also a new truckload of hay to add to the stack. 👍🏻 👍🏻

We sent Magpie and Pippin off to their new home on Saturday!

These two young horses were the personal investments and projects of Sky and Wyatt over the summer. They worked really hard to prep them for the October sale, and as part of their schoolwork they wrote their own descriptions, took their own photos and learned how to gather footage and edit videos for the sale.

Both of these kids would have kept these horses if they could! But they are learning that in this business, when you start to really like a horse that means it’s time to sell. 👍🏻

Congratulations to buyer Marsha of Bridger, MT. She didn’t know the connection between the two horses when she bid, but it made pickup easier!

Sky and Grace sent their second client horse, Flint, home today!

Flint is a mustang gelding originally from the Honor Farm, and came to us for a tune-up in the C Bracket training program. Sky and Grace helped him build confidence under saddle and softness in the bridle reins, especially at the trot and lope.

We have space for one or two more client horses before Christmas, before a winter break in Jan/Feb to focus on our own horses in training. Send a message to get on the schedule.

Our barn member Leslie set up a ride for six of her friends this morning, and it was 38 degrees but a good time was had by all!

Steady horses. Helpful wranglers. Saturday mood upgrade. 👍🏻

✨ Congratulations to Emma and her C Bracket lease horse Kitty for leveling up in the C Bracket Riding School!!

✨ The last thing they needed to check off was a serpentine at the lope with flying lead changes. 🙌 We adapted a bit for the wind the trail pattern we have set up in the indoor, but they were successful with the skill!

✨ Kitty is a 2021 mare who has been in our program for several years. She is very stylish and she and Emma have come a long way over the summer!

✨ Now they get to start on the brand new Level 6!

Some horses and ponies are just born for certain roles in their lives.

I think Cisco has found his. 💕 He brought joy to a lot of kids today! He is the chillest, most forgiving and calm pony I have known.

⭐️ Congrats to Sahalie for leveling up in the C Bracket Riding School!

⭐️ Sahalie has been doing amazing lot of work with her trot diagonals, and is beginning to work on refining her seat at the lope. She has graduated to Level 3.

⭐️ Our home-raised lesson horse Denny helped her accomplish her goals!

🫣 Level 6 is here!

Not going to lie, I would have to spend some dedicated time practicing to check off my own list. 😆 Sometimes I think these girls just like me to dare to challenge them. There are some tough things in this list! Should keep them busy a while. 😉

🌟 Congrats to Parker for leveling up in the C Bracket Riding School!

🌟 Parker just completed Level 3, and she and her lease horse Peaches have been making a good team together. They are both at a point where they are ready to refine their skills, and Parker has been a dedicated rider, taking instruction to heart and applying it in her free time.

🌟 We’ll see the two of you in Level 4!

Sidenote - leasing a great way to students to grow their skills by leaps and bounds as opposed to solely being a part of the lesson program. Additional practice hours outside the class allow them time to practice and repeat new skills.
