All is well after his ‘kidnapped at birth’ story.

Popeye is reunited with his mom, who very much wants to be his mom, and they are hanging out at peace in their own personal space without other overactive mares to bother them.

🍼 Our last new face joined us last night!

🍼 And he’s not a mule - or a dairy cow! We really had no idea what the stud was. 😂

🍼 We had to solve a case of foal theft by Mally - she wouldn’t let Ricka near him! Now mama and new baby are in their own space bonding happily.

The other mares and fillies are happy and healthy. ♥️

It was a bit blustery, but we had some good riding this afternoon anyway!

Our students learn it all from start to finish - catching and grooming, knots, bridling, adjusting stirrups and caring for and putting their horse away following their lesson.

Thursdays and Fridays we always offer private and semi-private lessons for kids and adults. Private lessons are perfect for maximum skill building. Semi-privates are great for siblings and couples to come learn together.

We had a fantastic couple of rides for the Move for Mobility last night!

This ride is an annual fundraiser, where 100 percent of proceeds from each trail ride we host go to the freewheelchairmission. Last night we hosted 27 riders, so that means 27 wheelchairs will be headed to those who lack the access to mobility any other way!

If you would like to join us for other trail rides throughout the summer, you can check out the schedule and reserve your spots here ➡️ https://CBracketRidingSchedule.as.me/?appointmentType=category:Trail%20Rides

No group classes this week - but still a full afternoon at the barn!

First we had Horse Powered Reading - if you are interested in this program for your beginning or struggling reader over the summer, talk to Sky Schaff! We are wrapping up the May session with our last two sessions this week.

Then we hosted two group trail rides this afternoon - one group from Wisconsin and the other from San Francisco!

We had several private lessons this afternoon too, accompanied by a bonus flag practice scheduled by mini Paige to help her nail the timing and mechanics. Other barn girls just happened to be hanging around the barn to help. 😊

Our foals always get a front row seat to all the action! There are no surprises for them later in life when they are started under saddle by our barn kids.

Caprilli is like cross-training for horses, and this summer our adult riding groups on Sunday evenings will work through a 12-week course together.

By mixing elements from jumping, pole work, and dressage, caprilli developes a well-trained horse that becomes supple and strong. Both horse and rider practice responding quickly to changes and riding transitions and routes with great precision.

But improving the physical status and enhancing the technical level is not all. Another significant benefit of caprilli is that horse and rider have fun together! The obstacles make it easier for the horse to understand why the rider, for example, wants to turn, which means that the horse can also understand the purpose of the training and become more involved.

Our advanced adult class is full, but if you're interested you can join in on the entry-level adult class for ages 18 and over. Both classes will do the same pattern, at a skill- and confidence-appropriate speed.
