Centerville High School is asking Bulldog Nation and the entire Wayne County community to come together for something much bigger than football.

As we prepare for Friday night's rivalry game between Centerville and Hagerstown, we want to rally around a local family that is facing an unimaginable challenge.

In March 2026, Hagerstown's own Blakely Robinson was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG), a rare and aggressive form of pediatric brain cancer. Since her diagnosis, Blakely has been courageously undergoing treatment and fighting every day alongside her family.

While the emotional toll of this journey is immense, the financial burden that accompanies ongoing treatments, travel, and missed work can be overwhelming. We would like to support Blakely, her parents David and Alisha Robinson, and her brother Ryker during this difficult time.

Rivalries are part of what makes high school sports special, but compassion, community, and helping those in need are far more important than the final score.

We ask that if you feel led to do so, please consider making a donation directly to the Robinson family through their GoFundMe campaign and help support our neighbors and friends as they continue this fight.

VARSITY FOOTBALL ANNOUNCEMENTS:
As we prepare for tonight's Football Home Opener, here are a few reminders to help ensure the evening runs as smoothly as possible:

• Please make sure that you have your All-Sports Pass ready and available when you enter the stadium. If you do not have an All Sports pass, single game tickets are $7.00 and are available at the gate or can be purchased in advance through the link below:

• The road behind the home football bleachers will be blocked off for safety purposes. Please make arrangements to pick your child up from other practices either in the Wellness Center parking lot or in the west parking lot near the Junior High Entry.
• Maintain awareness of your surroundings throughout the evening and communicate any concerns immediately.
• Parking for this evenings football game are in the Wellness Center Parking lot, The Main west parking lot, or in the grass field to the East of the football field.
• Remember that many guests will be attending their first event of the school year. Let's make a great first impression of Centerville Athletics and our Bulldog community.

Centerville Girls Volleyball took care of business in their home opener on Thursday. Both the JV and Varsity won in a shutout. JV won 2 sets to 0 and Varsity 3 sets to 0, to move to 1-0 on the season.

While Centerville Varsity won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final set scores came out to 25-13, 25-8, 25-23.

Coming up, Centerville will travel to New Castle, with the JV at 6:00 pm and the varsity at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup will give the Bulldogs their first taste of Eastern Crossroads Conference action this season.

The Centerville Bulldogs Boys Soccer team fell 6-2 to the Delta Eagles on Thursday.

Centerville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centerville Boys and Girls Soccer are on the road for another ECC match-up. Girls play at 10:00 am Saturday, followed by the boys at Lapel at 12:00 pm.

Varsity Football scrimmage has been rescheduled and moved locations. Scrimmage will now take place tomorrow 8/15/26 AT South Adams High School in Berne,IN. 11:00 am start time.
