We are saddened by the passing of Rea Jones on Monday, June 1. Visitation will be Monday, June 15 at 10 am at Faith United Methodist Church, 1719 S. Prospect, Champaign. Funeral at 11 am.

For many of us, this year's basketball season brought back memories of the 2005 team. Back then, I was inspired to write this article about bridge and basketball. It still feels relevant today.

Our players were caught up in the excitement of another game, and nothing -- blizzards, bad bids, 35-percent scores -- seemed to affect their pervasive good...
