🏆 Congratulations to Chandler High’s own Imani Galera-Young on being named The Arizona Republic’s 2026 Girls Track & Field Athlete of the Year! 🏆

Imani put together a season that will be remembered for years to come. The Arkansas signee shattered the Arizona state record in the 300-meter hurdles, clocking an incredible 40.65, and proved herself as one of the nation’s elite hurdlers.

She captured AIA Division I and State Championships in both the 100-meter hurdles and 300-meter hurdles, showcasing consistency, determination, and dominance on the track. In the 300-meter hurdles, Imani won 8 of her 9 races, and she closed out her senior season with a blazing 13.53 in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing No. 2 in Arizona.

Imani’s work ethic, leadership, and competitive spirit have made an impact far beyond Chandler High School.

Her support and training comes from hurdle coaching staff Michelle Reynolds-Flanagan who is one of the best hurdle coaches in the history of Chandler High Track and Field along with Cynthia Washington, and TJ Green one of her previous high school prodigies.

We are so proud of all that she has accomplished and cannot wait to see what she achieves next as a Razorback.

🏅 Imani Galera-Young – All-Arizona Team (Hurdles)
Imani put together a historic season, breaking the Arizona state record in the 300m hurdles, sweeping Division I and AIA State titles, and establishing herself as one of the nation’s top hurdlers.

🏅 Kyra Hogarth – All-Arizona Team (Jumps)
One of Arizona’s top pole vaulters, Kyra captured the Division I state championship and cleared a state-leading mark of 12’9” this season.

🏅 Tahli Elamin – All-Arizona Honorable Mention (Jumps) 6’8!
Congratulations to Tahli on earning All-Arizona Honorable Mention honors. Your hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence continue to make Chandler High proud.

🐺 Congratulations to the Chandler Boys 4x100 Relay Team! Am

The Wolves earned a spot on the podium and finished as the second-fastest boys 4x100 relay team in the state of Arizona, blazing to a time of 41.03.

Congratulations, fellas! Track is not for the weak. This season brought its share of adversity, but you stayed focused, trusted each other, and rose to the challenge.

Your hard work, resilience, and commitment paid off, and you represented the Chandler Wolfpack family with pride.
