🏒 Club Overview Series — Naperville Sabres ( )

The Sabres have been building competitive youth hockey in the Chicago suburbs since 1971, and the data reflects a club that’s grown with purpose.

We broke down teams across every age group using actual 2025–26 season results so families have the numbers they need heading into next season. One thing that stood out: shared ice time naturally decreases as players get older, a sign that the club’s investment in dedicated ice grows with its competitive players.

Here’s what each metric means:
💰 Cost — 2025–26 season registration dues
🏒 Games Played — verified game results from the 2025–26 season
⏱ Practice Hours — on-ice hours from the club’s published 2025–26 schedule
🔀 Shared Ice % — portion of 2025–26 practices where another team shared the ice

Numbers only tell part of the story. Coaching, culture, and community also play a huge factor when selecting a club. ClearRink is here to give families transparent data to support that decision, completely FREE.

🏒 Age Group Snapshot — Northern Express vs. Highland Park Falcons

Two established Chicagoland clubs with similar price points, but a lot more distance between them than just miles.

When you look at shared ice percentages, larger clubs have more teams to serve. It’s worth noting that more teams can mean more scheduling complexity, which may be reflected in the numbers.

There are real pros and cons to both larger and smaller programs, and the same goes for paid leadership vs. volunteer-led models. One isn’t better than the other. It simply depends on what fits your family and your player best.

Even at similar price points, two programs can be set up very differently. ClearRink is here to help you understand those differences, not to tell you where to play.

🏒 Introducing the Age Group Snapshot Series

Two clubs whose home rinks sit just 3 miles apart. Yet when it comes to cost, games, practice hours, and shared ice time, the numbers tell an interesting story.

Our first Age Group Snapshot features the Winnetka Warriors vs. the Wilmette Jr. Trevians at the Sq**rt (10U) level — laid out side by side so you can compare at a glance.

Here’s what each metric means:
💰 Cost: 2025-26 season dues
🏒 Games Played: Actual game results from 2025-26 season
⏱ Practice Hours: On-ice hours published on each club’s website from 2025-26 season
🔀 Shared Ice %: The percentage of practices where another team was on the ice at the same time

Of course, there’s a lot more that goes into choosing the right club: coaching, culture, fit, and more. But ClearRink is here to give you the data on that decision, completely FREE!
