Should we bring back the Gen 3 Winch Bumper? 🤔

We’ve had a number of requests to bring these back since discontinuing them, so we’re officially testing the waters.

Full transparency: these things suck to make. 😂 They’re extremely labor intensive, and historically, we’ve managed to break even or lose money on just about every one we sell—which, as it turns out, isn’t a great business model.

That being said, we like giving you guys what you want.

If there’s enough serious interest, we’ll consider doing a limited production run of Gen 3 (2010–2015) Winch Bumpers.

Interested? Email [email protected] so we can get an accurate headcount.

And before you ask: Gen 3 only. We will not be making these for any other generation/model.

A Note From Me:

After 7 years in business, Prius Offroad products will be increasing in price approximately 10% on July 1st.

When I started Prius Offroad, I made a commitment to build the best products I could and keep them affordable for as long as possible. Since then we’ve made it through COVID, supply chain shortages, inflation, and years of rising material and manufacturing costs without a single price increase.

Over the years I’ve done everything possible to avoid this. I’ve reduced overhead, streamlined operations, and eventually went as far as running the entire business myself. I don’t live extravagantly, I don’t have investors to satisfy, and I didn’t start this company to maximize profits. I started it because I genuinely enjoy helping Prius owners build vehicles that can take them places most people never thought possible.

Unfortunately, the reality is that steel, aluminum, coatings, hardware, packaging, freight, and nearly every other expense involved in manufacturing has continued to increase. I’ve held out hope that costs would eventually return to normal, but after several years it has become clear that this is the new reality.

As a result, most products will increase approximately 10% beginning July 1st.

In addition to this some products, including certain roof rack systems, winch bumpers, and other accessories will also be discontinued as material costs and sourcing challenges have made them increasingly difficult to offer at a reasonable price.

If you’ve been considering a lift kit, skid plate, hitch, bumper, roof rack, RotopaX mount, or any other upgrade, now is the time to order and lock in current pricing.
