The oldest martial art school in Chico and definitely one of the oldest Danzan Ryu dojos in the system. Chico Kodenkan is run by Professor Delina Fuchs, Rokudan (6th degree black belt), the CEO since 1996; she has been with the dojo (a continuous student, then sensei) since January 7, 1978. She is a volunteer board member (CEO) and Dojo Cho (School Head Instructor) of the dojo, teaching jujitsu, Iaido, and Jo classes. Aiki Bu Justus classes are also offered and tought by Sensei Steven Perrott, Yondan

Chico Kodenkan will be raffling off a sword to raise funds for our dojo.
$5 per ticket,
$20 for 5 tickets,
and for $25, you get an extra two tickets (7 total) and a commemorative 50th Brown Belt Weekend Sticker (dishwasher safe, 3"x3.25"). Help our dojo survive the PG&E bills this year, and potentially win a sword! Or, at least get a sticker!

Congratulations to Mira Watkins on passing her Ikkyu (1st class brown belt) exam. It's been a long journey (literally) as she trained remotely from Canada, came back for a week, trained every day, went to Camp Kodenkan North for intensive training with many different people, and returned to Chico Kodenkan to pass her exam.

We are all very proud of you!
