Yesterday was a special day here at Cypress Landing! 🎃

On Halloween, we once again had the pleasure of hosting our US Kids Golf Tournament, where each of our young golfers got to choose a special Halloween treat!

For the other golfers out enjoying the course, we added a little extra sweetness to their day by randomly handing out our freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. 🍪

We hope everyone had a wonderful Halloween 2026 filled with fun, treats, and memories. 🧡👻

Honoring Indigenous Peoples’ Day at Cypress Landing Golf Course

Here in Chocowinity, North Carolina, we are surrounded by a history that stretches back long before our town was established. The land, rivers, and waterways throughout Eastern North Carolina were home to Indigenous peoples, including the Tuscarora, whose history is deeply connected to this region.

⛳ Even the land where we enjoy golf today is part of a much larger story. The waterways and land located near Cypress Landing have sustained generations of people through fishing, hunting, farming, travel, and trade. The natural beauty we appreciate on our course is part of a landscape that Indigenous communities knew, cared for, and called home long before us.

This Indigenous Peoples’ Day, we pause to recognize the Native American tribes who shaped the history of our region, honor their enduring cultures and traditions, and remember the generations who came before us.

❤️ Our course is more than a place to play golf. It is part of a community with a rich history, a meaningful heritage, and a story worth remembering.
