Tumble, tumble, tumble Tumble Bees are taking over the gym at QCG!
All Tumble Bees teachers complete our basic course on childhood social‑emotional development in addition to Tumble Bees training. That means every child is met exactly where they are on the gym floor, and our teachers are that much more prepared, caring, and confident because of it.
On a random weekday evening, can you tune in to the sounds just below the din of happy families running to and fro through the Kids First Village?
This video has FOUR things you might hear at Kids First. Can you guess what they are before the reveal? How many did you guess correctly?

Kids First Teaching Principle #2: Keep the kids safe.
This principle informs everything we do in this building! Thank you for trusting us with your family every week!
Last week we caught one of our QCG athletes practicing a Kip, Cast Handstand to Clear Hip to Giants (say that 3 times fast!). And now that you can refer to your own gymnast's skills with the correct vocabulary, how about three fun facts about uneven bars?
1. The Women's Uneven Bars evolved from Men's Gear! The apparatus originally started as a modified version of the men's parallel bars, with the two wooden bars adjusted to different heights.
2. In 1952, the uneven bars made their Olympic Debut.
3. In early decades, the bars were set very close together so gymnasts could quickly step or hop between them. By the 1980s, the bars were pushed much further apart to accommodate high-flying aerial release moves.
