Maintaining our greens and grounds requires a significant amount of time, effort, and volunteer support. As a volunteer-run course operating on a limited budget, we rely on the cooperation and respect of all golfers to help preserve Fernbank for everyone’s enjoyment.
We want to address several recent incidents involving damage to the greens, including wedge divots, putter marks, and push carts being taken onto the putting surface. This behavior is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
We ask all golfers, both young and old, to respect the course and the work that goes into maintaining it. Please repair all divots and ballmarks, especially on greens and tee boxes. Greens are to be used only by putters, and carts must remain away from greens and tee boxes. These are standard expectations at any golf course, and Fernbank is no exception.
All golfers are required to sign in at the clubhouse before beginning play. We also encourage members to report any inappropriate or destructive behavior they witness on the course. The course and board reserve the right to remove individuals from the property if these rules are violated.
Please note that intentionally damaging greens or other course property may constitute prosecution under Ohio law.
We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and encourage all players to come out, enjoy the course, and take advantage of the great weather ahead. By respecting the course and one another, you help ensure Fernbank remains a welcoming place for all.
