How Much Water Do Dancers Need?
Every dancer is different, but a good rule of thumb is to sip water throughout the day, not just during class. Bring a refillable water bottle to the studio and take small sips between combinations or breaks.

In dance progress isn’t about how quickly a dancer moves up—it’s about how well they’re prepared for what comes next.🩰
When dancers are pushed or allowed to advance through levels too quickly, they can miss the fundamental technique that classical ballet is built upon. Those missing pieces may show up as unclear lines, poor placement, or inconsistent technique—but more importantly, they can increase the risk of injury when more advanced movements are attempted without the proper foundation.
Exceptional flexibility, naturally high extensions, strength, or raw talent are wonderful gifts, but they do not replace proper training and progression.
Every level has a purpose. Every exercise builds something. Every dancer benefits from taking the time to develop a strong technical foundation.
