Today I asked Tiffany a simple question during training…
“Why do you choose to get up every day and fight when you have every excuse to stay down?”
Then I put the gloves on her.
But today wasn’t about boxing… every punch had a word attached to it.
Every punch had a reason.
Every punch carried some pain.
Every punch released something she’s been holding on to.
Because sometimes healing doesn’t happen by sitting still… sometimes you gotta fight your way through it.
I needed her to hear herself say WHY she’s still here.
WHY she keeps showing up.
WHY she refuses to quit.
The punches were just the movement…
The words were the breakthrough.
That’s what we do at BBF.
We don’t just build stronger bodies… we remind people of the strength that’s already inside of them.
Proud of you Tiffany. Keep fighting. Keep rebuilding. Your story is bigger than your struggle.

I used to think my gift was teaching fitness… but the more I do this work, the more I realize my gift is teaching peace.
Because the world can be loud. Life can be heavy. And sometimes chaos is all our kids see.
So if I can get them to slow down… breathe… listen… believe in themselves… and understand they are loved, then we already started building something special.
Before we build strong athletes, we have to build strong minds. Before they learn how to fight through life, they have to learn how to find peace inside themselves.
This is where the foundation starts. Teaching them young that their feelings matter, their voice matters, and their life has purpose.
The workout is just the tool… the real work is healing from the inside out.
This is Building Better Futures. 💛
I’ve learned the main thing our kids need is to be empowered, celebrated, and most importantly… affirmed.
Sometimes it’s bigger than teaching them a skill. It’s about helping them see something inside themselves they didn’t know was there.
Through boxing we get to do all of that. We build confidence. We build focus. We teach them to keep going, to believe in themselves, and to celebrate the small victories.
Just look at the joy on their faces when they finally master those combos. That smile is the moment they realize…
“I can do this.”
That confidence is what we’re really building.
The gloves are just the tool… the real work is helping these kids discover their own power.
Deeper than fitness. Building Better Futures.
As a coach, this is what it’s all about.
Behind every victory you see on camera, there are silent battles you don’t. There are days of frustration, tears, and wondering if the work is paying off. My client was honest with me today—she talked about the rough days at home where the weight of the journey feels like too much.
But look at her now. She found that "oomph." She showed up, she put in the work, and she conquered those stairs.
I told her on those steps, and I’ll say it again here: Do not minimize this progress. Don't look at a win like this and think about what you should have been doing or could have done better. Look at it for what it is—a massive, undeniable victory.
This is the blueprint. This is what growth looks like. Next stop: Meet me at Fairview. 🤝🔥
One thing I love about working with the youth is you never know what’s hiding inside of them until you help them find it…
This young lady right here has been one of the quietest kids at camp. Super shy, barely says a word, just sits back and observes. I don’t think I ever heard a peep out of her.
But then something happened…
She put those boxing gloves on.
The second she started hitting those mitts, it was like somebody flipped a switch. Her face lit up, the confidence came out, and that quiet little girl showed me a whole different side of herself.
That’s the power of connection.
To some people it’s just boxing… to me it’s a tool. It’s a way to teach confidence, courage, self-belief, and show these kids there is something powerful inside of them.
Sometimes kids don’t need us to change who they are… they just need someone to create a safe space where they feel comfortable enough to let that fire come out.
Moments like this remind me why I do what I do.
BBF… we’re not just building stronger bodies. We’re helping kids discover the strength they already had inside. 💛
There was a time when these steps weren’t just steps… they looked like a mountain.
Today was a BIG STEP for Tiffany… literally and spiritually.
A lot of people see the workout, but they don’t always know the story behind the person fighting through it. Tiffany went through a traumatic life-changing experience that tried to take away things most of us do without thinking — simple movements, confidence in her body, and trusting herself again.
But today…
No cane.
No walker.
No railing.
Just strength.
Just faith.
Just a woman reminding herself what she’s capable of.
My job today wasn’t to pull her up those steps… it was to stand beside her, encourage her, and remind her that the strength was already inside of her.
That last step wasn’t just a step.
That was courage.
That was healing.
That was taking her power back.
Tiffany, I hope you know how powerful this moment really was. You’re not just rebuilding your body… you’re rebuilding your belief.
This is why BBF will always be deeper than fitness.
We don’t just count reps.
We celebrate victories.
One step at a time.
