Tampadelphia Saturday October 3rd, 10-3, '26

Philly diehards,

Tomorrow . . . tomorrow . . . two big things. First, from 1:00 to 4:00, the Eagles **hopefully** play ball vs the LARs.

Second, and more important, from midnight to midnight, it's 10 - 4, aka Broderick Crawford Day. Philly TV star on Highway Patrol, and his famous sign-off on that dashboard radio he had. Celebrate one of us tomorrow? 10 - 4!

Most expect another loss tomorrow. Adding to that impression are new additions to our injured list, most notably WR #6 DeVonta Smith. We look like we have a guy and maybe another to pick up the slack but this makes it tough. That means the coaches **hopefully** worked this week and will crack the whip harder to make the plays, hit the blocks, avoid the penalties, get the sacks and tackles and call a better game.

Am I optimistic? Yea, I am every week. They're in my doghouse but these are growls of support to get it done. I just don't forgive easily on liars, traitors, and laziness. Play me, lie to me, con me, and there is no forgetting. An eye for an eye.

But that's sports. So 2-2, 3-3 after 6, no big deal. We move on.

Come early tomorrow to Mugs. Open seating, no money except for what you order, have fun with us. Food special tomorrow for just $11.99. The usual drink specials. Cheap prices on good stuff if you choose to partake.

So the Phils choked. Was it a choke? Probably not. But they need some upgrades for sure.

The Flyers are cranking up. The Sixers start soon. Both sound like good substitutes for the over-priced NFL if you're looking for choices. If I was back up there I'd try a few Union games. And I'd be back watching the crew and boat races on the banks of the Schuylkill at East River Drive.

It's our life. Relax, cheer, enjoy, and take the day for yourself and loved ones, spend wisely and I'll see you there.

Are you over it yet? Are you over it?? Or are you still burning and PO'd because guys making big paychecks didn't work?

What a HUMILIATING butt-kicking! Thanks hothead Sirianni! Thanks over-rated Fangio! Thanks newbie Mannion! Do you know what wins games? CONSISTENCY! Get some!

And thanks to the pretenders who didn't do jack on Monday night. And the sissy Eagles who didn't go after the guy that stuck Hurts on the sideline.

Good thing I'm over all this. Grrrr.

The simplest explanation is this: NO EFFORT! No effort by EVERYONE paid BIG $$$ to make the difference.

If I'm Lurie I'm breathing flames. Yea, spin it ... it's just one game, we'll come back, we're really better. Kiss off!

I'd tell GM HR to start looking for replacements for Davis, Carter, Steen, Makuba, Woolen, and Sirianni.

One of the talking heads said HC NS is messing with the offense again. Wait! We need more proof. We know how that worked out in 2021, '23 and '25 so we need to lock in on that every game. Let's be SURE.

The Rams are coming in and we need to score EARLY. Kickoff at 1:00 pm. The Rams have a big disadvantage on the time difference and the body clock. Someone please email the front office and tell the team to score 14 as fast as possible.

Thanks to the many Eagles diehards who joined Tampadelphia at Mugs on Monday night. I'm focused on US having a great game day to wash away this humiliation. Expect great raffle prizes.

Tampadelphia is at Mugs in Clearwater. No cover, no reservations, no money grabs, no pressure to buy anything, no people playing big shot, no phonies. Just fun, friends, family and good food and drink.

Also this weekend we'll have a food special: cheeseburger with fries for $11.99.

PLAN on being at Mugs for the 09:30 early game from England later this season. A full breakfast buffet will be open.

Philly diehards:

Are we good or just lucky?

Do we look like a playoff caliber team or will we do a slow fade?

Can't say. Too soon. Need more time and plays.

So, onto the national stage we go. MNF. Full of know-it-all's and cliches.

A pal and I debated. He said the home team has the most wins on MNF. I wondered so I looked it up.

ChatGPT said it's almost a perfect 50-50. Actually 50.5 - 49.5. So no clear winner, home team or visitor.

Then he said the visiting team usually loses their next game. I wondered, so guess what I did? Yep.

ChatGPT said it's almost another perfect 50-50, and the NFL tries not to schedule a road game after MNF for the visitor.

I kinda think he's PO'd at me. But, moving on . . . The Eagles look like a winner to me on this one.

Tampadelphia is at Mugs again in Clearwater. Mugs will be hosting if you want to join some diehards.

TE Zach Ertz is back! I like 86, hope he can get a few stats every game. He'll play and teach.

Do the Eagles miss OL Coach Stout? You be the judge.

An Eagles fan group in St. Pete got closed out of their bar due to overcrowding. I know some of them. Passionate but well behaved fans are welcome.

Are the Phils fizzling? Looks it.

Tampadelphia Tuesday Sept. 22, '26 After TN, game 2

Eagles Diehards!

WE ROCKED MUGS!!!

The place was packed! Young, old, guys, gals, new Tampadelphia friends, all Eagles fans, just Eagles fans and only Eagles fans in our PRIVATE room! Other Eagles fans were around elsewhere. We cheered, we made NOISE and we had a FABULOUS Eagles game day!

The Birds beat TN at the buzzer and we all walked out happy, well fed and immersed in Eagles fever.

BUT there's alot of important work to do.

Next game is Monday night, 8:15 start against da Bears. Tampadelphia/Mugs is OPEN and HOSTING if you want to come by, hang with some diehards and cheer the team. If you have an early start the next day, or just want to chill at home in the king's chair with the big screen that's OK too. Save some bucks for game 4 the week after.

We had a terrific raffle with high end merch. We also had a very respectable winner on the other one. No cheap for us.

About the game . . . We got Zach Ertz back! But 26 and 88 were nicked. Stay tuned on the injury report. Also changes are coming on the OL. C Cam Jurgens is moving to LG and Drew Kendall is taking over the snaps at C.

The WR's looked good as did the DBs. OC Sean Mannion got praise for running the O and it's good to see the fight and hustle. But it was a hot game, with temps well over 125 degrees on the field.

Many thanks to the new Tampadelphia fans joining us, especially if you came by and said hello in person. We're delighted you like our group.

Fellow diehards . . . .

Are you ready for 2 - 0? Titans tomorrow at 1 pm! Bucs play at 1pm also, so no TV for the Birds except on subscription or at Mugs in Largo with Tampadelphia's loyal screaming fans!

Last week's win was a nice showing by Hurts, but the changes and injuries are starting already. Dickerson is out awhile. The D needs tightening up in places. The OL needs to make lanes for 26. Passing marks in many places but we'll do better.

We're 1 - 0 and 1 - 0 in the division. Considering it's a breaking-in game for much of the roster let's take it.

BTW, last week I was snookered when the Eagles came on local Fox 13 here in TB. Everything I saw online said it wasn't.

Some nice prizes tomorrow and a big one too. Optional raffles support us replenishing good prizes. Know that we NEVER do a bait and switch on prizes, showing good merch then giving away a cheapo key chain or license plate frame instead like another group does.

And we NEVER pressure you to buy any merch we bring in. That's NOT our way. If you're getting that now, leave.

While we're still figuring out what the Eagles can do, enjoy a visit to Tampadelphia. The bathrooms are both brand new. New tiles on floors and walls, fixtures, cabinets, hardware etc. Looks great and folks last week were impressed.

Also, expect a special on the menu tomorrow in addition to the usual ones. This helps soften the cost of coming out. I just got my latest TECO bill and it's double the old ones. The killer is the graph shows LESS usage than before, and it's twice as much. Add in all the other things we pay for and I know it costs. Spend wisely.

And we have plenty of room in our private area, as well as in the main room and two deck areas. TVs everywhere. Arrive early and get a cozy spot.

The Phils have me a bit nervous. We'll all feel better at 4:30 tomorrow. 2 - 0!!

Tampadelphia Saturday 9/12/26

Eagles diehards,

Tomorrow opens our new season. It will be great to see all of you again. You'll see Darlene, Lorraine and me as usual. We're back at Mugs in Clearwater off Ulmerton Rd and 58th st. Kickoff is 4:25 pm. Please come early because it's not available anywhere on TV except streaming. We should fill up our private room. BUT there's a few hundred other seats in Mugs, so enjoy the game where you like best. With 40 TVs you'll have a good view.

Note: I'll have some items for our raffles, but the rack of several shirts is too much for me to bring tomorrow. I'll have our Tampadelphia T's in both midnight and Kelly green, and our Kelly green polos, for game 2.

Yesterday was the anniversary of 9-11. As a vet it's a disturbing memory. But I hope the families are healed and stronger. Condolences to all who knew folks we lost that day. I used to work in NYC at 25th and Lex, not far from there. I did the daily grind on different trains over a 14-15 hour day, every day. So I have a bond of sorts with the area and people that were there.

I'd like to thank the team from Tampadelphia that helped so much this offseason that scouted places, and the team from Mugs that reached out to get us back. And the team at OCC for a great season last year.

See you tomorrow! BTW, we'll be 1-0!

Great way to open the season!

And another year older. Ho hum. Ho hum? Welcome home!!

Sunday. 4:30. Mugs in Clearwater. Come green. Be loud. Be passionate. Cheer the game. HEAR the game! And enjoy.

Our focus always was and still is a great game day. Comfort. Fun. Friends. Good eat and drink. Come early!

If you're new, welcome. All ages, all sizes, all colors and all cheering the Birds on their way to another NFCE crown!

OK. Enough Eagles hype.

The new guys will be anxious to make a statement. Our OL backups look good and capable. 65 will likely miss a game.

Our new guys on D, especially the back 4 or 5, may make a big difference. The rush of the DL is the key.

The x factor? Coaching. Will the plays, timing and use of talent on O calls be smart and effective?

Will Vic Fangio have a top 5 D plan and timing of talent this season? Will Mannion expose Patullo?

You'll just have to come by and see if you don't have a paid subscription to streaming.

Mugs hold hundreds in our back room, main restaurant and bar area, deck bar and outdoor seating. Choose! 40 TVS. Plenty of appetizers, cold brewskis, Eagles ambiance and no drunks, brawls or F bombs. Great for families...200 level!

NO money grabs. NO cover. NO pressure. NO reservations. CDHS (Dougherty) and Temple U grads most welcome.

Tampadelphia Sunday 6 Sep 26

Yo Philly fans!

We're back!

Spent 3 days out west in Bremerton WA by Seattle, then a few ferry rides and 2 days in Victoria BC (absolutely gorgeous), then more travel into the mountains to Whistler Resort in British Columbia, Canada for 3 more days. Flew home from Vancouver after 8 days back to the US and still hot Tampa. Cool and crisp, days in the 60s and 50s, nights in the 40s, with mountains, harbors and the Pacific everywhere.

Actually saw the Eagles' third preseason game while in Canada. Yawn.

And it's starting next weekend! Another long season ahead but this one very different! No game breaker WR named AJ or coach named Patullo. Everything new. Should be about 6-8 games before we know what we got and can do.

The birds lost all 3 meaningless preseason games. Yawn. No matter, you don't give away secrets too soon. And if we end up 2-2 or 3-3 don't fret. Just relax and enjoy the games.

And we're back at Mugs in Clearwater, upgraded and happy to see us again. The menu still has the wings, burgers, salads, chili and fajitas as always. Please note the new changes, no DJ, and every 1 o'clock game will have a food special, e.g., burger and fries for 11.99. It will be a different special every 1pm game.

Due to my recent challenges I may be behind on our fun, "it's-always-optional" raffle since I couldn't shop. Plus getting things there is challenging. I'm recovering nicely but still dealing with some occasional side effects. Otherwise everything inside and out reports fine so we'll be back in stride soon.

We want to thank OCC for a good season last year. Your cooperation and support is so very appreciated.

And let's thank the many venues and managers we met this past off season looking for our new home. I'll be keeping in touch and stopping in to the ones I didn't get to in person just in case we need a backup. I'm looking forward to meeting you and catching up.
