CMS Cheer Tryouts are coming up, and we could not be more excited to support Coach Selena as she prepares to build her team! 🖤🤍📣

Our Cheer Director and the CMS Cheer Coach have been working together, sharing ideas, creating plans, and building a stronger connection between Raiders Cheer and CMS Cheer. That connection gives our athletes a clearer path as they grow, develop their skills, and prepare all students for high school.

Coach Selena is passionate, talented, creative, and ready to lead. She is bringing fresh energy, big ideas, and so much heart into this program. We already know she is going to create something special with the athletes who earn a spot on her team.

To every athlete planning to try out: walk in confident, work hard, show your personality, and give it everything you have. This is your opportunity to show Coach Selena what you can bring to CMS Cheer!

The Destruction Head Coach went in planning to simply modify the current routine—but one look at the girls told her everything. They looked tired, frustrated, and completely over it. 😩💔

So we scratched it. ✋📝

She listened to their ideas, changed the music, rebuilt the routine, and gave them something they could actually enjoy performing. 🎶✨

With less than 4 hours of practice….they took on the horseradish festival stage presented by the Collinsville Chamber of Commerce (IL). ⏱️🔥

☀️ In the heat.
🧱 On the concrete.
📣 With a brand-new routine they had just learned.

And they performed it like they had been practicing it for weeks. 👏🖤🤍

That takes talent, trust, teamwork, and the ability to adjust under pressure. These girls could have shut down, but instead, they stepped up. 💪

⛳️ The Collinsville Raiders finished 8 under and still got the shaft on the playoff hole for B Flight!

Either way, the Cory Wilson Memorial Golf Tournament was an absolute blast. Great weather, great company, plenty of laughs, and a solid round from the fellas!

They may not have walked away with the win, but they definitely represented the Raiders well and made some memories along the way. Great round, guys! 🏌️‍♂️🖤🤍🏈

Off the mat, we teach our girls to wear their uniforms with pride, respect, and confidence. Being a cheerleader is more than bows, chants, and cute uniforms. It is learning how to show up, work hard, handle business, support your team, and carry yourself like a mini warrior. 🖤🤍

So yes, they may hit a sassy count in the routine…
but Raider Cheer girls know pride, discipline, and girl power come with the uniform. 💪✨

When the 9U football moms said “put me in, coach”… the Coach was teaching TACKLING. 😂🏈

They came in cute.
They probably left sore.
They may have learned that tackling is a lot harder when your knees snap, crackle, and pop before contact. 😭
