Looking to take the next step in your dressage journey? The Dressage Foundation has three grant opportunities with July application deadlines that can help you pursue your goals.

👉July 1: Maryal & Charlie Barnett Continuing Education for Instructors Fund: grants up to $2,000 to attend the USDF Instructor/Trainer Development Program

👥July 15: Team Tate Mentorship and Leadership Fund: a $5,000 grant for a dressage professional to work with their dressage mentors to improve their equestrian skills and to receive business, leadership, or coaching education.

📌July 20: TDF’s Western Dressage Fund for Individuals: $1,000 grants for Western Dressage riders to pursue additional training opportunities.

☀️🐴 As we begin our summer break today, things have finally slowed down just enough to take a moment and reflect on the past six months. 💙

It’s hard to believe everything we have accomplished in such a short time! Between Pony Club activities, clinics, horse shows, lessons, family life, and all of the extracurricular school activities our riders are involved in, it has been a very full and rewarding season. 🎉🏆📚

Watching our younger riders during Boot Camp was a wonderful reminder of just how far they have come. Their confidence, knowledge, and independence around horses continue to grow, and it is exciting to see them developing into capable young horse people. 🐎✨

Our teen riders have also impressed us every step of the way. They have become incredible leaders and role models, showing a deeper understanding of how their position, body language, and emotional stability influence their horses. Seeing that partnership develop is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching. 💪🐴❤️

Boot Camp also helped us identify areas where we can continue to improve and highlighted opportunities where we can challenge ourselves to reach the next level. Growth never stops, and that's what makes this journey so exciting! 🌱⭐

A huge thank you to all of our riders, parents, volunteers, and supporters who make everything we do possible. Your dedication, encouragement, and hard work are what keep this program thriving. 🙏

We are also proud to continue working alongside our community partners, including Youth Odyssey and Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas , to provide quality, safe, and educational equine experiences for the youth in our community. Together, we are helping build confidence, leadership, responsibility, and a lifelong love of horses. 🤝🐴🌟

We have a lot planned for the second half of the year, and the calendar is already filling up with exciting opportunities, events, and goals. 🍂🏅🐎

For now, our horses will enjoy a lighter schedule, some well-earned downtime, and plenty of opportunities to simply be horses. 🌿🐴☀️

Meanwhile, we'll be busy planning and preparing for what promises to be a very exciting and productive fall season!

We were so happy to be able to work with the YWCA and youth odyssey today to be able to provide a great experience to these young ladies.

A 530am wake up call was too early for these stinkers...... but it's a small price to pay for the best mani-pedi in town.

🐴☀️ What a busy and fun week at Pony Boot Camp! ☀️🐴

Our riders worked hard all week, building confidence and skills through: ✨ Riding without stirrups ✨ Pole work exercises ✨ Trail obstacles ✨ Practice over natural fences

We are so proud of how much each rider improved and the positive attitudes they brought every day! 💪🐎

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing guest speakers: 🔵 Lindsat from Bluebonnet Feeds for sharing valuable information about equine nutrition and feeding. 🛠️ Virgil Conde for giving us a fascinating look into the horse's hoof and helping our riders better understand hoof care and farrier work.

We love giving our students opportunities to learn both in and out of the saddle! ❤️

Next week, we're excited to welcome Youth Odyssey for another great experience! 🌟 After that, our horses will be moving to a reduced summer schedule as they enjoy some well-deserved downtime during the Texas heat. ☀️🌴

🌧️🐴 Pony Camp 2026 was a HUGE success! 🐴🌞
We somehow managed to dodge the rain all 3 days and packed the week full of horsey fun, learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories! From riding and games to pony care and teamwork, it was such an amazing experience watching all of our campers grow in confidence each day. 💕🐎

A HUGE shoutout goes to my incredible helpers — all members of Sandy Creek Pony Club ❤️

Over the years, I’ve watched these girls grow from young riders into confident, capable, independent leaders. They worked so hard throughout camp helping younger riders, caring for horses, keeping things organized, and stepping up wherever needed without hesitation. Their leadership skills, responsibility, kindness, and horsemanship truly shined this week.

They are becoming wonderful horse ladies, and I could not be more proud of them. 🐴✨
