Different gear. Same team.

RTFC employees traded their work gear for walking shoes at the 2026 Coastal Bend Heart Walk.

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S., and every step brings us closer to changing that. Proud to support the American Heart Association's mission for longer, healthier lives.

We're always ready and we'll always be ready.

Fire Prevention Week 2026 has kicked off and the message is simple: stay alert, use caution, and know what to do before an emergency happens.

At RTFC, we're always ready to respond, but prevention starts with everyone!
Pay attention to potential hazards, follow safety procedures, keep exits and equipment accessible, and never take fire safety for granted.

A few extra seconds of caution can make a difference.
Stay aware, stay prepared, and stay safe.

Fire Prevention Month is a time to remember the lessons that shaped fire protection, and for RTFC, those lessons hit close to home.

On April 16, 1947, the Texas City Disaster claimed hundreds of lives, including 27 firefighters who responded to the emergency. The tragedy exposed the need for stronger industrial fire protection, coordinated response, and greater preparedness.

One year later, Refinery Terminal Fire Company was formed to help protect high-risk industrial operations.

Today, that mission continues through training, prevention, emergency response, and a commitment to being ready before the alarm sounds.

The Coastal Bend Heart Walk is tomorrow! Join us Saturday, October 3rd at Whataburger Field in Corpus Christi to walk with a purpose and with heart.

The event begins at 8:00am, and the walk steps off at 8:15am. Together, we honor those impacted, support heart health, and take steps toward a stronger, healthier community.

Last year our amazing employees and families showed up strong, placing RTFC in the top five for teams, companies, and individual walkers...let's do it again this year!

See you tomorrow morning!

A strong team takes more than the people in the field!

Our HR professionals work behind the scenes to support the people, culture, and operations that make RTFC possible.

Today, we recognize their work and the important role they play in keeping our organizations moving forward.

Industrial firefighting is about more than extinguishing flames.

Vehicle extrication, technical rescue, emergency response, medical support, hazard mitigation...

Our team trains for a wide range of scenarios because every emergency is different.
And every second counts.

That’s why the training never stops.
