🌿 Did you know...
The Wolf River in Harrison County is one of South Mississippi’s most ecologically diverse waterways? It is home to longleaf pine uplands, rich wetlands, and wildlife that depend on a clean, connected habitat.
Thanks to recent conservation partnerships, over 14,000 acres along the Wolf River are now permanently protected, safeguarding water quality, restoring longleaf pine ecosystems, and supporting species like the gopher tortoise.
Every paddle, every hike, every quiet moment by the water is part of a living landscape that’s being protected for future generations.
🛶Real adventures.
🌳Real conservation.

Today’s paddle at the Abita River in Covington was very nice. 6 members paddled including our two newest members. We had one guest. The river was up a little and had no noticeable current. Slight wind on the way back to take out. We paddle 2.5 miles to the 190 bridge and then turned round. Total distance was about 5 miles.
