At Jiu Jitsu World League Houston XVII, every one of our young competitors and adult athletes competed with tremendous heart and represented Haven with everything they had. Together, we earned our first ever Top 10 leaderboard finish as an academy!

Striking Fundamentals for Grappling.

9 weeks. Every Thursday at 6:45 PM. We're excited to bring in Coach Adam Copley — UFC, PFL & Bellator experienced coach and BJJ 2nd Degree Black Belt — for a complete series covering wall work, takedowns off strikes, ground-and-pound, off your back defense, clinch fighting, and more.

Whether you're a grappler looking to round out your game or brand new to MMA, this series will level you up.

Free for Haven members. Non-members: $30/class or grab the full 9-week series for $225 ($25/class).

💪😎👉Interested in learning how to get into shape like a fighter? What is fighter shape? Fighter shape is not just becoming a Pro or competing at every tournament. It is learning and becoming comfortable with yourself in a tough situation. Not only in a physical fight but a mental fight as well. The training begins when you enter Ground Dwellers Texas Roots Mixed Martial Arts because you took the first step by entering the door. Yeah we are not in a strip center or a gimmick class at your local fitness gym, but we specialize in what we do. Within our academy we have 25 years + of collective knowledge in Kickboxing, Jiu-Jitsu, Mixed Martial Arts Striking & Grappling, and fighter fitness, with a personal knowledge of diet that will take you to a more functional strong and leaner meaner you. I coach Tommy Lee Wood personally started my journey in 2007, and trained like a fighter loosing 80 lbs. Also, gaining knowledge, skills, confidence, and a functional strength that will last me a life time. I still teach and train at the age of 47, and will for the rest of my God given life.

WE OFFER A 1 DAY PASS TO TRY OUT OUR CLASSES.

Are there sign up fees or contract?
No, there is no sign up fees or contract. Just a drop in fee or a monthly payment.

What comes with being a monthly paying student?
•You will get to be part of our private Facebook group where we post weekly techniques, exercises, and meals with diet ideas. Allowing the students to comment for Q&A.

•You will be able to access every scheduled class available.

•You will have access to use the weights and elliptical before or after your class, but during gym hours.

•You will receive discounts on private training lessons.

If you are currently a monthly paying student individual or family you stay locked in on your fees until 2028, and there are openings for new students individual and families to be locked as well for a limited time only.

Discount for 1 year Training:
•If you sign up as an individual or Family and pay upfront receive a $150 discount. For a limited time.
