“Why do we teach kids to jump in and turn to the wall?”
It might look simple, but this is one of the most important water safety skills kids can learn.
If a child accidentally falls into a pool, the most common response is to swim towards the first wall they see. The problem with this is that it’s often the farthest from them. By teaching them to jump in and turn to the wall behind them, we’re helping program into muscle memory that the wall behind them is the closest.
This skill teaches swimmers how to:
✔️ stay calm after entering the water
✔️ turn their body to find the wall
✔️ move to safety and get out
It’s not just practice, it’s preparation.
In the water, knowing what to do right away can make all the difference.
💬 Have you seen your swimmer practice this skill yet?

“How do kids actually build confidence in the water?”
Water confidence doesn’t happen all at once, it’s built over time.
For babies, toddlers, and young swimmers, confidence starts with feeling comfortable in the water and learning how to move safely with guidance and support.
Through consistent lessons, kids begin to:
✔️ gain real, repeatable water safety skills
✔️ show measurable progress from one lesson to the next
✔️ build confidence as they master new skills step by step
Each lesson builds on the last, helping swimmers grow more capable and confident step by step.
Because real water confidence isn’t given, it’s built through experience, repetition, and progress.
💬 What’s something you’ve seen your swimmer become more confident doing recently?

Sometimes the biggest summer victories don't come with a report card. ☀️🧡
At the beginning of the season, they might have been nervous to put their face in the water, needed constant reassurance, or struggled to stay focused.
Now? They're blowing bubbles, trying new things, and showing you just how much confidence can grow one lesson at a time.
Because learning doesn't only happen in the classroom. Through guided play and consistent practice, children build resilience, independence, and life skills that reach far beyond the pool.
This summer, take a moment to celebrate the little wins, because they're often the ones that lead to the biggest growth. 🌊
What's one way your child has surprised you this summer? Share it with us below. 💙
