Did you know about Pure Joy at Mirror Image Dance Company? There is so much for kids with disabilities . If you know someone that would love to dance , come bring them! Dance is for everyone. And the name Pure Joy says it all. ( I am not teaching it, but I know they have some amazing teachers) We would love it if you got the word out. Message MIDC for information on all of the Pure Joy classes.

Happy Saturday. Still is so strange that I am not teaching on Saturday mornings. For over 20 plus years it was my favorite day of the week. Lots and lots of people are asking me if I plan to teach again….Yes is the answer. As you know it has been a very hard year. I went through a lot. But at the end if it, ballet has always been on my mind. It is what my soul is. It is what I was meant to do. So thank you for believing in me, checking on me and most of all, READY FOR ME TO TEACH AGAIN! I will be seeing you in class, I am hoping soon. Love to you all.

Whatttttt? She is unbelievable! And no pointe shoes. I have so much respect for her teachers that they had her do it on Demi pointe. I don’t know her, but my guess is with the gorgeous feet she is still learning to control them. With high arches ( yes they are beautiful) it actually takes more control than you think. I adore this video, just watch this goddess!

It really is cool to see how pointe shoes are made. So many people have no idea. After the crazy process, like comes the fitting of your pointe shoes. Oh man that is so hard. Every door is different and every shoes is different because they are hand made. I can not stress enough the very right fit for dancers. We as teachers also work hard to make them fit well and break them in to help dancers get the support they need in these shoes. Always feel free to ask me questions!
