Happy Juneteenth, a holiday that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans, which occurred on June 19, 1865 – more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Today, we reflect on our commitments to serve everyone in our community and hope you will join us to ensure natural spaces are both enjoyed by, protected by and accessible to all. Your MetroParks are A Place For You to feel free to be who you are while connecting to nature, and we hope you have some extra time to come visit us today. ❤️💚

Just trying to have 90s analogue summer: no screens — just the good vibes, sweet treats, corn sweat and all the berbs. As an FYI, the 2nd Street Market will be open tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. during its normal hours of operation!

The Market is open normal hours this Friday, Juneteenth, and all weekend long:
Friday 11 AM – 3 PM
Saturday 9 AM – 3 PM
Sunday 11 AM – 3 PM

From welcoming you at registration, to keeping you fueled and oriented at aide stations, to celebrating your finish with photos and a well‑earned meal, our volunteers brought trail magic to every step of the event.
