Over the last several years, there’s been a noticeable shift toward mallet putters at every level of the game.

With higher MOI, added forgiveness, and increased stability, it’s easy to see why so many golfers have made the switch.

But don’t count out the blade.

A well-designed blade continues to earn its place in golfers’ bags thanks to its clean look, exceptional feel, and timeless confidence at address. For many players, nothing beats the feedback and precision a blade provides.

The truth is, there isn’t a “better” choice—only the one that fits your stroke, your eye, and your confidence over the ball.

Whether you’re rolling a classic blade or a modern mallet, the right putter is the one that helps you hole more putts.

Which are you gaming right now: Mallet or Blade?

Center Shaft or Double Bend? Which One Fits Your Stroke? 🤔

One of the most common questions we hear is: “How do I know which putter is right for me?”

While a professional fitting is always the best way to know for sure, here’s a simple place to start:

⛳ Center Shaft
• Promotes a natural release through impact.
• Often a great fit for golfers with a neutral or slight arc in their stroke.
• Creates a balanced, connected feel from your hands to the putter head.

⛳ Double Bend
• Designed to reduce face rotation.
• Often preferred by golfers with a straighter back-and-through stroke.
• Delivers a clean look at address with added stability.

The truth is, there isn’t a “better” option—only the one that helps you start the ball on your intended line more consistently.

The Truth About a Milled Face

Not every putter face is created the same.

A precision-milled face isn't just about looks—it's about consistency.

When every groove is machined to exact specifications, you get:

More consistent ball speed across the face
Improved feel at impact
Better feedback on every putt
More predictable distance control

Can a milled face make every putt? Of course not.

But when you strike the ball, knowing your putter delivers the same response time after time gives you one less thing to think about. And confidence is one of the most important parts of putting.

At Detroit Putter Co., every detail is engineered with consistency in mind—because the best putters inspire confidence before the ball ever leaves the face.

Every round tells a story.

This week, one of our DPC Ambassadors put the M-10 to work, proving that confidence on the greens starts long before the first putt. Precision-milled, built to perform, and trusted when it matters most.

There's nothing better than seeing Detroit Putter Co. on the course doing exactly what it was designed to do.

Thanks for sharing these shots and representing the brand.

What course are you taking your DPC to this weekend?

Same Detroit craftsmanship. Two completely different experiences.

The 313 is our classic double-wide blade—clean lines, exceptional balance, and the traditional look golfers love.

The 313 ZT takes things a step further with Zero Torque Technology, designed to help the putter stay more stable through the stroke for golfers looking for added consistency and forgiveness.

So... which one fits your game?
