Tigers are climbing — and this time it feels real. 🐅🔥

Detroit just crushed the Seattle Mariners 11-0 in the rubber match of their three-game series (and ALDS rematch), scoring three times in the first inning against Bryce Miller and never looking back. The Tigers left town just one game out of the final AL Wild Card spot, currently held by Texas. They’re sitting at 55-59, and the run differential is almost even with the Yankees — impressive for a team still under .500.

This wasn’t just another win. After a tough loss the night before and some tension from the previous game’s hit-by-pitches and benches clearing, the Tigers came out locked in. Manager A.J. Hinch put it perfectly: “It was a good win and a good series win. There’s always energy in this ballpark. That team was coming off an emotional win. We came out today and silenced it with a really good first inning. I can’t overstate that.”

The offense is clicking. C**t Keith said they’re crushing fastballs, getting to pitchers early, and doing damage: “We’re on it… and we’re able to put up numbers.” Dillon Dingler launched his second two-run homer in as many days, then added an RBI single. Riley Greene and Keith followed with back-to-back doubles. The Tigers taxed Miller for 40 pitches in the first inning alone.

On the mound, Framber Valdez delivered another strong outing — seven innings, just 95 pitches, no hits until the third and no runner in scoring position until the sixth. He’s stepped up big after the trades of Tarik Skubal and Casey Mize.

The bigger picture is even more encouraging. Detroit is 5-1 through the first two stops of their nine-game West Coast trip and has won six consecutive road series for the first time since 1988. Remember how rough things were earlier? They went 6-22 in May, started the year with a long road skid, and had previous hot streaks that faded. Hinch noted they’ve “collected ourselves” and now feel confident no matter where they play.

This version of the Tigers looks different — focused, aggressive, and playing good baseball. Three more games in San Francisco this weekend, then a friendlier schedule the rest of the way.

🐯 TIGERS GO FOR THE SERIES WIN IN SEATTLE

The Tigers have a chance to leave Seattle with a series victory this afternoon as they face the Mariners in the rubber match at T-Mobile Park.

Detroit dropped the middle game 4-2 despite a late push from Dingler, who blasted a two-run homer in the 8th inning. Now the Tigers turn to Valdez (6-7, 4.41 ERA, 98 K) with the series on the line.

Seattle counters with Miller (4-5, 2.80 ERA, 74 K), giving Detroit’s lineup a tough matchup as it looks to bounce back after being held to just four hits yesterday.
