The owner of a UTV installed an after-market roll cage. While the new cage was sleeker, the top of his helmet protruded above the roll cage. He took it out for a spin in the long grass next to a dirt road. Before he could react, the UTV struck a drainage ditch that ran perpendicular to his direction of travel. The UTV flipped forward and landed on the roll cage. It's unclear if the rider was wearing seat restraints but what was clear is that he seriously injured his neck.

Mountain Graphix created a simple scene with a UTV mesh and a human character that was the rider's height. We illustrated the flip and the impact of his helmet on the ground.

A man, who was experiencing a mental health crisis, brought his young son to his mother's house. The grandmother, fearing for the child's safety reached out to law enforcement to help her manage her grown son's erratic behavior. When law enforcement arrived, the situation escalated into a hostage crisis, with the father using the son as a human shield

Mountain Graphix was asked to help illustrate the timeline of events. To avoid biasing the scene, we were asked to use generic mannequin-like bodies to avoid showing the race of those involved in the standoff.

Having to review accident investigation photos is never easy. It is a witness to a tragedy in an individual's life and the life of their family. Few cases leave us more heartbroken than the death of a young person.

A young girl drove a UTV on the streets of her rural neighborhood. As she rounded a corner, the UTV went wide and slipped down a small embankment. The girl was ejected from the driver's seat and the vehicle rolled over her.

In this case, Mountain Graphix modified a UTV mesh to match the make of the subject vehicle. Using a laser scan of the scene, we worked with a biomechanical engineer to illustrate how she sustained her injury.

At Sunburst Ski Hill in Wisconsin, a guest misloaded the lift chair and eventually fell near the second lift tower. The family of skier claimed that the lift operator should have ran to fetch a ladder from the snowcat bay so that the young skier could have climbed down from the chair uninjured.

Mountain Graphix did a laser scan of the base area and the lift up to Tower 2. On the site visit, we timed the lift operator running from the lower terminal to the garage and back to the location of the fall with a ladder to determine if the plaintiff's claim was feasible. This illustration shows the distance that an operator would need to run while the skier dangles from the chair.

At Crystal Mountain, in Michigan, a young girl, in a ski school class skied off from her instructor and struck a tree.

Mountain Graphix recreated the front side of the mountain to help illustrate the terrain and to show the ski path that the instructor stated that she had travelled when she departed from the class.

At Okemo Mountain Resort, in Vermont, a skier fell and slid into the side of a padded snowmaking tower. The skier sustained injuries and claimed that the padding on the tower was not properly in place to adequately protect skiers.

Mountain Graphix recreated a portion of the trail where the incident occurred. Particular attention was given to the hydrants, tower gun and the padding that protected each.
