300 kilometres by boat. A dream hunt. One step closer to the Super 10.
When Reid Francis surprised his wife, Lydia Ann, with a muskox hunt, he gave her the opportunity to pursue her dream North American animal.
Their adventure began with a trip to a small community just north of the Arctic Circle, followed by a 300 km boat ride into the remote landscape where the hunt would unfold.
On day two, they spotted a herd of 12 muskox. The stalk was on.
Reaching these remote hunting destinations takes time, effort, and plenty of travel, but that’s part of what makes these experiences so special. The journey, the country, and the memories made along the way are just as much a trophy as the animal itself.
For Lydia, this hunt was about more than checking off a dream animal. It marked the eighth species in her quest to complete the Super 10.
From the long journey north to the final stalk, Lydia relied on her KUIU system to stay comfortable and prepared in the demanding Arctic environment.
Lydia’s KUIU system:
▪️ Women’s Guide Pro Jacket
▪️ Women’s Attack Pants
▪️ Ultra Merino 145 Zip-T
▪️ Ultra Merino Zip-Off Bottoms
▪️ Pro Bino Harness
▪️ Border Fleece Jacket
▪️ Women’s Super Down LT Jacket & Pants
▪️ Women’s Chugach Rain Gear — Jacket & Pants
An unforgettable adventure, a dream animal, and one step closer to the Super 10.
Congratulations, Lydia!
