🇺🇸🥊 OBEY BOXING: ROAD TO USA NATIONALS
MICAH’S MOMENT
13 years old. All heart. One big dream.
In just two short years, Micah has taken his boxing to the next level. This December, he has an opportunity to compete at USA Nationals in Lafayette, Louisiana—with dreams of future Junior Olympic competition.
His journey has taken determination.
Micah was born with Bruton’s X, a condition affecting his immune system that requires hospital treatment every month. Between appointments, infusions and the challenges that come with his condition, he continues going to school, wrestling, boxing and working toward his goals.
He keeps showing up with a fighter’s mindset! 🥊
His father, Virgil, is raising Micah as a single parent and has stood beside him through hospital visits, training and competition. Since enrolling Micah at OBEY Boxing Elite, Virgil has watched his son develop discipline, confidence and the determination to face life’s challenges inside and outside the ring.
At OBEY BOXING ELITE, we develop fighters and build combat careers right here in Delaware. OBEY alumnus Carlos Flowers—a former No. 1-ranked U.S. amateur boxer who represented Team USA before turning professional—is part of that story. Carlos has also offered Micah support and guidance, sharing encouragement from someone who understands the work this journey takes.
Now, Micah is another young Delaware boxer working toward his own opportunity on the national stage. We’re asking our community to get behind him and help the next generation compete, grow and represent Delaware with pride.
We’re raising $9,000 to help get Micah, his father, Coach Duane and Coach Delvon to Louisiana. Contributions will help cover USA tournament registration, round-trip airfare, baggage, lodging and ground transportation.
Micah has put in the work. Your support can help make this opportunity possible.
When he steps into that ring, we want him to know there’s a whole community in his corner. Let’s show him that Delaware is behind him! ❤️
No donation is too small to help a young man chase his dream.
Please donate if you can, share his story and help us get this team to Nationals. Every contribution and every share helps. 🇺🇸🥊
Thank you for believing in Micah and supporting OBEY Boxing Elite!
