🚨NEW FACULTY🚨

As we approach the start of Season 7, we’d like to introduce you to our newest faculty!

Next up ➡️ 𝗧𝗢𝗥𝗜 𝗡𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗧𝗭𝗞𝗜

“Tori brings a strong background in both competitive dance and coaching to 218 Dance Project. She danced competitively for 14 years at a local studio, spending her senior year at 218 Dance Project during its inaugural season. She was also a member of her high school dance team for six years, serving as a three-time team captain and helping choreograph three routines that went on to compete at the State Tournament.

Tori continued her dance career as a member of the University of Minnesota Duluth Dance Team for one year before shifting her focus toward teaching and coaching. She has four years of varsity-level high school coaching experience, including two years as an assistant coach and two years as a head coach.

During her senior year at UMD, Tori completed an internship with 218 Dance Project, where she gained additional teaching experience by working with dancers of all ages in technique classes. She graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth with a bachelor’s degree and a minor in Applied Dance.

Tori is excited to return to 218 Dance Project and share her passion for dance, technique, and performance with the next generation of dancers.”

“Sophia Hohenstein has been dancing for 18 years and brings a lifelong passion for dance to 218 Dance Project. She is currently a student at the University of Minnesota Duluth, where she is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Early Childhood Studies.

Sophia grew up training and competing in studio dance and is a proud graduate of Northern Force Dance Company. She is now a member of the UMD Dance Team and is beginning her second year with the program.

In addition to her extensive experience as a dancer, Sophia has been teaching dance for the past nine years. She is excited to continue sharing her love of dance with students and looks forward to being part of the 218 Dance Project community!”

🚨 CALLING ALL 4TH & 5TH GRADERS! 🚨

Our Grade 4–5 Street Jazz & Hip Hop class kicks off NEXT THURSDAY from 6:45–7:30 PM, and we still have room for more dancers! 🔥🎶

This fun, high-energy weekly class is perfect for kids who love to move, learn new skills, and have a blast — and NO previous dance experience is necessary!

✨ CURRENT 218 FAMILIES — HELP US SPREAD THE WORD!
For every NEW dancer you successfully refer to this class, we’ll waive one $50 registration fee for your family!

“Stef began her dance journey in Omaha, Nebraska, where she discovered a passion for dancing and performing at a very young age. After moving to New London, Minnesota, she continued her training as a competitive dancer and also as a member of the New London-Spicer Dance Team, where she also served as a choreographer. 

With over 30 years of dance experience, Stef has had the privilege of working with dancers of all ages, from children as young as two to adults. She has been a dance instructor for 16 years, and teaches a variety of styles including ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, heels, and musical theater, and loves helping students develop strong technique while building confidence and a genuine love for dance. In addition, her choreography has received many overall high point and specialty awards over the years. 

Stef is passionate about creating a positive, encouraging classroom environment where every dancer feels valued and supported. She believes that dance teaches important life skills such as discipline, teamwork, and self-expression, and she strives to help each student reach their full potential both on and off the dance floor. Stef is excited to share her knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm with the next generation of dancers and looks forward to helping each student discover their love of dance.”

“Bre Hambrecht is a recent graduate with 15 years of dance training and performance experience. She trained at Studio 4 in Burnsville, Minnesota, where she has developed a strong foundation in contemporary, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, tap, and open styles. Throughout her competitive dance career, Bre has been a Hall of Fame Showdown Finalist and has been a part of multiple National Championship-winning group routines. She has also served as a team captain for two separate and enjoys mentoring younger dancers through teaching, assisting, and helping dancers grow in both confidence and technique. Bre will continue pursuing her passion for dance while attending the University of Minnesota Duluth and teaching dancers along the way. She is excited to share her knowledge, experience, and love for dance with everyone at 218!”

As we approach the start of Season 7 in just a couple of weeks, we’d like to introduce you to our newest faculty!

Next up ➡️ 𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗡𝗔 𝗠𝗔𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗡

“Carolina has been dancing since the age of three and has trained in a variety of styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, and acro. Throughout her dance career, she has attended workshops across the country and competed in Chicago, Orlando, Wisconsin Dells, St. Paul, and numerous local venues. She is also a member of The College of St. Scholastica Dance Team, where she continues to strengthen her technique, performance skills, and teamwork.

Carolina is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education at The College of St. Scholastica. Her passion for working with children extends beyond the dance studio through her work with school-age children at Kids Zone and her experience volunteering in elementary classrooms. These opportunities have allowed her to connect with children of all ages while continuing to develop her skills as an educator, leader, and mentor.

Carolina is excited to combine her love of dance with her passion for working with children and looks forward to creating a positive, encouraging, and engaging environment for her dancers.”
