EMOMs are great. you can control time, volume, load, and intensity pretty easily.
you don’t only have to use kettlebells, barbells, dumbbells, sandbags, even calisthenics work great. (If you do use calisthenics and it still feels a bit too easy, throw on a weight vest or a backpack full of whatever heavy things you can find).

Obviously there’s so much nuance to this.
Some people are good at training intuitively. Others NEED structured programs or their entire training will fall apart.
On top of that, we don’t want structure to interfere with our ability to enjoy our training. Movement should be joyful as it once was in human history and as it is throughout the animal kingdom. And ultimately, joyful training is sustainable training.
So pursue goals, yes absolutely. But also love what you’re doing while you’re doing it.
I wanted to try this little “thoughts while training” format. We’ll see how it goes!
