⚾️ Mentorship in action.

On July 28, the El Paso–Las Cruces (TX-NM) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of El Paso and Warrior Allegiance to host young men, their families, mentors, and volunteers at an El Paso Chihuahuas game through our Guide Right Program.

For several of the youth, it was their first baseball game, and they showed their appreciation with heartfelt, handmade thank-you cards.

As Vice Polemarch, Alim Ahmand shared, “It still takes a village. Guide Right is designed to add to the support system already in place.”
Together, we’re building stronger youth and a stronger community.

Enjoying a great day at the ballpark! ⚾️☀️ The El Paso–Las Cruces Kappa Guide Right program is out in the Sun City, making memories with our future leaders.

Parents and guardians, would you like your young man who is currently in grades 3rd through 6th to join the Kappas for an exciting evening of Chihuahuas baseball on July 28? If so, please click or scan the QR code on the flyer to register and reserve a spot.

This is a FREE event designed to foster social skills, civic engagement, and mentorship. The men of the El Paso-Las Cruces Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi, will provide transportation to and from the game, or you have the option to drop off and pick up your son at the game. Food will be provided. This at no cost to the parent.

We hope your young man can join us for a fun and memorable evening!

On June 19, 1865, enslaved people in Galveston, Texas learned what the Emancipation Proclamation had declared more than two years prior…they were free. That moment, now honored nationally as Juneteenth, stands as one of the most consequential dates in American history and in the legacy of Black America.

Today, we honor Juneteenth, not simply as a date in history, but as a powerful reminder of the strength, resilience, and unyielding spirit of a people who never stopped believing in freedom.

As men of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., we reflect on the sacrifices of those who endured unimaginable hardship, celebrate the progress forged through courage and perseverance, and recommit ourselves to the pursuit of justice, equality, and service to all mankind.

May we never forget that freedom delayed is freedom denied, and that the responsibility to protect, preserve, and advance liberty belongs to each generation.
