Kitasuna of Tokyo, our sister team in Japan is now headed to the International Championship game of the Little League World Series! Japan will play Curaçao on Saturday for a spot in the World Series Championship.

Beach City hosts an exchange program bringing 18 Kitasuna players to El Segundo, where they stay with our families for a week and play in a baseball tournament with our kids. We’ve also brought them to Rancho Grande our ranch in Ojai, California for some fun time with the animals. We proudly hear of so many friendships between our families and theirs created over the years.

Little League now officially lists the team as Joto because of regional restructuring, but they are still Kitasuna with the same program, coaches and tradition we have known for years. Kitasuna has been to Williamsport six times and won four Little League World Series championships.

We’ll be cheering Saturday and hope to welcome them back to El Segundo again soon.

Little Sluggers is designed to give young players consistent exposure to real baseball experiences in a fun, low-pressure environment, helping them build comfort, confidence, and a love for the game.

Just. Like. That. 👏👏👏

The Beach City Prospects worked so hard while making it look so easy to beat out 1️⃣0️⃣4️⃣ teams from all over the country at this week. This is Beach City Baseball Academy’s second Cooperstown win, the last one being 2016, both with 🐐 Coach Ryan Lopez and this year adding Coach Kirk Hatfield (the duo that also made it to the championship 2 summers ago). We’re incredibly proud of this team and all of our BC Prospects, who stayed till the very end cheering their fellow BCBA brothers on.
