TREY STARKS, RICO ABREU, TANNER THORSON & TANNER HOLMES LOCKED-IN FOR SATURDAY'S $126,000-TO-WIN SKAGIT NATIONALS FINALE

ALGER, WASH. (September 4, 2026) - When Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing ventures to the Pacific Northwest, Trey Starks has made it known that the state of Washington runs through him; and it certainly did again on Friday night at the Angel Of The Winds Casino Resort Skagit Nationals with $26,000 on the line in the Rayce Rudeen Foundation Race.

The Puyallup, WA native, who has dominated Skagit Speedway throughout 2026 with 10 wins entering the weekend, enjoyed his latest conquest of the Alger, WA oval to become a three-time High Limit winner.

šŸ A Night of Learning at Skagit Speedway
Saturday, 8/29, David had the incredible opportunity to get behind the wheel of a 360 at Skagit Speedway, thanks to Barry Martinez of Winged Down/SpeedMart.

Barry took the time to work with David one-on-one, sharing insight about the track, setup, and offering guidance and encouragement throughout the night. While the night didnā€™t end the way David had hoped, it was still a huge learning experience and an amazing opportunity to get valuable laps in a 360.

Weā€™re incredibly grateful to Barry for his time, knowledge, and willingness to help David grow as a driver. Opportunities like this are about more than the resultā€”theyā€™re about learning, gaining experience, and continuing to build for the future. šŸ

Race Recap, Sportsman Sprint, Saturday 8/22:

Another solid Top 10 finish in the A Main! Weā€™re continuing to work on getting our setup dialed in for qualifying.
David drove a consistent race and stayed patient through both the heat and A Main. Best of all, we loaded it into the trailer unharmed at the end of the night! šŸ™Œ

Results:

* ā€¢ Heat: 5th ā†’ 3rd
* ā€¢ A Main: 9th ā†’ 6th

MIDGETS RETURN SATURDAY!

The Midgets are back this Saturday after last racing on July 11 during Hall of Fame Night. Alex Peck picked up the win that night after starting in the 7th position. Peck drove around Ashley Thompson for the top spot and never relinquished the lead. The win was Peck's second of the year. Shane Smith continues to lead the points battle as he looks to defend his points championship from a year ago. Smith leads with 602 total points; Jonathan Jorgenson is second, 73 points back, and Tyler Luce is third, 96 points back.
