Iāll let you in on a little secretā¦.
We donāt care if you can touch your toes, we donāt care what youāre wearing, we donāt care if you wobble, take Childās Pose five times, or need to rest.
What we do care about is that you breathe, listen to your body, and leave feeling a little more connected to your Self than when you arrived.
Some of the strongest yogis Iāve ever met arenāt the most flexible, theyāre the ones who keep showing up despite their limitations. They choose presence over perfection, curiosity over comparison, and growth over ego.
If youāve been waiting until you feel āfit enough,ā āflexible enough,ā or āgood enoughā to come to class, this is your reminder that you already are š«¶š¼
Can you relate to any of these? Was there a self limiting belief that almost stopped you from trying Yoga?
Share your answer in the comments! You might just encourage someone else to take that first step. And if someone comes to mind who needs this reminder, send it their way šš¼

Today we honor Guru Purnima; a sacred day in the yogic tradition dedicated to expressing gratitude for the teachers, guides, and lineages that illuminate the path before us.
The word guru doesnāt simply mean āteacher.ā It comes from the Sanskrit roots gu (darkness) and ru (that which dispels). A guru is one who helps remove the darkness of ignorance and reminds us of the light that has always existed within.
While Yoga teaches that your truest Guru ultimately lives within (the inner Self that knows, witnesses, and guides us), we arenāt meant to walk the path entirely alone.
There is something profoundly transformative about sitting in the presence of someone who has devoted their life to this practice. In yoga, this is known as the transmission of Shakti, or the subtle spiritual energy that can be shared through presence, devotion, and sincere practice. Because the greatest lessons arenāt spoken, theyāre felt.
Today is a beautiful day to work with the energy of Guru Purnima by:
-Reflecting on the teachers who have shaped your life
-Expressing gratitude for the wisdom youāve received
-Spending time in meditation, self-study, or your spiritual practice
-Opening yourself to guidance while remembering to trust the wisdom within
The people who have walked before us remind us of whatās possible. They donāt give us our light, but they help us remember where to find it, and lend us theirs when weāre feeling dim.
Today Iād love to give thanks to my teachers Sarada, Shivaji, and Jaganmati. My life has been changed for the better by your wisdom, presence, and grace. Thank you for seeing yourselves in me and guiding me under your wings. I am endlessly grateful for the knowledge you have bestowed in me. I devote my life to preserving the sanctity of this practice and sharing it with all those willing to learn with an open heart and mind.
Honorable mention for Gaia, as she continues to teach me everything I need to know about, well, everything š„°

We spend so much of our lives building an identity.
We become the responsible one, the people pleaser, the perfectionist, the high achiever, the strong one, or the caretaker.
At first, these identities help us navigate the world. They protect us and help to give us a sense of belonging.
But over time, the boxes we build for safety can become the very things that keep us from experiencing who we truly are.
Yoga isnāt asking you to become someone new, itās inviting you to remember who you are.
In yogic philosophy, thereās a beautiful distinction between the self and the Self.
The lowercase self is the version of us shaped by our experiences, our fears, our accomplishments, our labels, and the stories weāve been told about who we should be. Itās constantly changing.
The capital Self is something much deeper. It is the quiet awareness beneath every thought, every role, every emotion. It is whole, peaceful, and untouched by success or failure. Yoga teaches that this Self has been there all along weāve simply forgotten how to listen.
Every time you step onto your mat, you practice peeling back another layer. Not to fix yourself, not to become more worthy, but to soften the armor youāve been carrying long enough to hear the wisdom that already lives within you.
Coming home to your Self isnāt a destination, itās a remembering.
⨠What parts of your self are you ready to let go of so your true Self has more room to shine? Iād love to hear in the comments š«¶š¼
There will always be another email to answer, another load of laundry, another errand to do, or another person who needs something from you.
The to-do list never really ends, but somewhere along the way, weāve moved ourselves to the very bottom of it.
We tell ourselves weāll rest when everything is done, weāll move our bodies when we have more energy, or weāll finally take care of ourselves once everyone else is taken care of.
The problem is, when you put everything else above yourself, you become so drained you have no more to give.
Itās that old adage; you canāt pour from an empty cup. Once youāre poured your glorious life force into everything and everyone, your cup empties and you have nothing left to pour.
Thatās why you canāt wait to care for yourself. And in doing so, you might notice it actually gives you energy filling your cup back up so you have even more to give.
Self-care isnāt a reward for getting everything done, itās a non-negotiable. Itās the reason you have the energy, patience, and presence to do the things that matter most.
Whether itās rolling out your yoga mat, taking a walk, reading a book, enjoying your coffee in silence, or simply taking five deep breaths, giving yourself a few intentional moments isnāt selfish. Itās necessary.
Today is National Self-Care Day! So in honor of that, give yourself permission to choose you today even if itās just for 10 minutes.
We invite you to practice a little self-care today, and then take a moment to notice how you feel afterward. Really notice the shifts in your body, mood, and energy.
Now we want to know, what is your most favorite form of self-care? Tell us in the comments!!! Weād love to hear what fills your cup, and it might inspire someone to do the same ā¤ļø

We are so honored to hold space for each and every soul that trusts us enough to walk through the doors.
We know being a beginner at anything is hard! The discomfort that comes along with even just showing up is palpable. But this is why we practice; to breathe through the discomfort, to trust the process, and to witness the unfolding of our growth.
