Erie High Royals Baseball Boosters

Baseball family and friend, I wanted to share an update about Ainsworth Field. I reached out to the School Board. The school board president walked the field yesterday. He did note a few concerns and said he would be taking them to the administration, but didn't see much of an issue. I also invited the board to the Legion game this evening. Two showed and were very surprised at the conditions.
Ainsworth isn’t just any field — it’s a 100‑year‑old historic baseball stadium with real history behind it, and it’s now the home of the Erie Royals. That’s even more reason why its condition matters and why it deserves proper care.
Ainsworth is officially on the agenda for the June 3rd School Board meeting, and we’ve been invited to attend, and it would be really great if players and families could come as well. You do not have to speak unless you want to, but seeing and hearing directly from the people who actually play on that field carries far more weight than any email, photo, or even a school board president walkthrough. A strong presence from the baseball community will make it clear that these concerns are real. This is a chance to advocate for safety, better conditions, and the future of Ainsworth — because you young men, and the generations who will come after you, matter and deserve better.
If you’re able to attend, please do. Having everyone’s support can make a real difference. I’m still waiting for confirmation on whether the meeting starts at 5:30 or 6:00 and will update as soon as I know.
