📍 Bridal Veil Falls, Black Bear Pass Loop
🗓️ Date Visited: 10/14/2024
🚗 Paved road to the trailhead.
🅿️ Good sized gravel parking lot, but it fills up quickly.
🥾 2.6 miles RT, 839’ of elevation.
⚠️ The trail is rocky and steep in places, we wouldn’t recommend it for families with young children.
👀 Pay attention and watch out for 4x4 traffic on Black Bear Pass Road.
🦮 Dogs on leash. (Pack out dog p**p)
🚻 Porta-potties at the trailhead.

🗓️ Date Visited: 9/20/2026
🚗 Rocky dirt road to the trailhead with some washouts. High clearance and 4x4 recommended, and decent clearance is required.
🅿️ Relatively small dirt parking lot.
🥾 3.8 miles RT, 915’ of elevation.
⚠️ Please follow all posted rules and signage, this trail is surrounded by private property.
🧭 There are multiple junctions and the trail around the lake at the top is hard to follow, so we recommend downloading the trail map ahead of time.
🌲 Multiple downed trees around the lake at the top.
🦮 Dogs on leash. (Pack out dog p**p)
🚻 No bathrooms or trash cans at the trailhead.

📍 Guanella Pass: Peak higher up
📍 Empire & Jones Pass: Past peak

📍 The Gondola - Telluride
🗓️ Date Visited: 10/14/2024
⏰ The free gondola runs daily during the summer season, typically late May through late October. In 2026, it runs May 21–October 25 from 6:30AM to midnight.
📍 It starts at Telluride Station near Oak Street, with stops at San Sophia Station and Mountain Village.
🅿️ There’s metered street parking in Telluride, or you can park for free at Carhenge and walk or shuttle into town.
🥾 Multiple hiking options are accessible from the gondola, plus incredible views of Telluride and the San Juan Mountains.
🦮 Well behaved dogs on leash are allowed in the pet cabins and dogs are allowed on designated hiking trails and must be kept on a leash.
🚻 There are bathrooms at the base and at the top.

👀 Check out the views at Sapphire Point Overlook.
🍺 Grab drinks & food at Outer Range Brewing Company.
🥾 Hike the Lower Cataract Loop Trail.
⛺️ Camp outside Silverthorne. Comment “Camp” for the campsite we stayed at.

Day 2:
🥾 Hike the Acorn Creek Trail.
☕️ Get breakfast burritos and coffee at Red Buffalo Coffee & Tea.
🚗 Drive back to Denver.
