This kid wanted to catch the “ugliest bluegill’ we could find. He wasn’t satisfied with how ugly they were so we tried for the ugliest bass. He was not satisfied. You never know what kind of kid will show up for a fishing adventure. Some don’t speak and are reserved. Some say hilarious random stuff. Our conversations covered vast topics from his favorite juicy steak at Golden Coral, WWII atrocities, his Subway order of Italian cold cuts, Mr Beast, and HVAC. I was more entertained with the morning than he was.

Wish I had my mic the night I drank too many martinis with in 2004. He was adamant that he could ride a horse from Canada to Mexico and not leave his property and that there wasn’t a single cat on any of his properties. Not one. None. Zero. Why he fixated on that I don’t know. We talked fishing about Brigadoon and fishing trout in Georgia. Fun night. Rough morning the next day.
