Pam and I had an incredible time fishing on Beaver this weekend.

The good ol’ sculpin olive and peach jig.
It’s landed many of fish. From whoppers to d***s. And it never fails.
It’s classic. It is consistent.
We tend to reach for the most flashy, gravitate to the loudest, compare what we have with others. Sometimes, (most times) it’s the simplest thing that doesn’t need a bunch of noise. Because, it speaks for itself.
The loudest person in the room usually is compensating and if you’re more concerned with what someone else has got, just water your own grass.
Or pick up a pole and walk a creek.

Big Bass

That was a fun one to land.
We won “big bass” today in our fishing tournament.

I got to go fishing with one of my closest friends. We have been solid friends for
61 years.

Not a lot of people can say that.
That smallmouth I am holding was a whopper.
John took the picture so it’s blurry.
Quality time on the water.

Today was fun!
We got to participate in our Grandson’s career day for his school!

Now back to tying jigs.
