Congratulations to former St. Louis Pirates player Jake Burger on being nominated for the 2026 Roberto Clemente Award.

This award represents so much more than what happens between the lines. It recognizes players who demonstrate character, leadership, sportsmanship, and a commitment to making a difference in their communities.

Jake continues to show what it means to use the game of baseball for something bigger than yourself. Seeing a former Pirate recognized at this level is something our entire organization can be proud of.

We’re proud to have Jake as part of the St. Louis Pirates family and proud of the example he continues to set for the next generation of players.
