After 4 field practices, we like what we're seeing. For this early in the season, this group is looking really good. Love the hustle and attitude these players are bringing every day. It's going to be a fun season! ⚾

✅ First field practice of the spring

What cool experiences for our players! Over the last week, our players had Zoom calls with Colin Poche (MLB pitcher who lived in Flower Mound and played for the Rattlers) and Clay Cox (head coach for Paris Junior College).

Having an MLB guy who played for this same select baseball organization come back and invest in the next generation is pretty special. Plus getting to hear from a successful college coach on what it takes to make it to the next level was absolute gold. This is the kind of stuff that pays off three years from now when they're getting recruited.

They covered a ton of topics, everything from the mental side of pitching, what college coaches actually look for in recruits (including a couple of inside tips!), and how to be a baseball player instead of just playing baseball.

The fact that Colin & Clay made time for these boys says a lot and we greatly appreciated it. Watching our players lock in for two hours, ask thoughtful questions, and soak up advice is exactly what we want to see. Proud of our Rattler guys for wanting to get better (and learn!) on & off the field.
