Winnebagoland Musky Club The Winnebagoland Musky Club was established in 1974.

As a member of the Musky Clubs Alliance of Wisconsin, the club focuses on educating members about muskies, promoting fishing etiquette, and improving habitat and propagation in the Fond du Lac area

Some news on stocking!
Elkhart Lake stocking will take place Thursday October 15th at 9 a.m.
We are in need of a few boats and some people to help release the fish out in the lake.
Please contact Jeff Kliefoth 920-948-7388 if you are able to attend.

We also have openings for 3 more people to come help at the Wild Rose fish hatchery on Tuesday October 20th 8 a.m. contact Jeff soon so he can give the hatchery a head count. Helping will include catching the fish from the ponds, clipping fins and assisting with
PIT tagging the fish for the Lake Winnebago system. Waterproof boots or shoes, waterproof pants and such attire will be needed as we will be handling the fish. Gloves will be provided. Even if you can't assist with the work you can still cone tour the hatchery!!

For anyone that missed it, we had a great presentation last night on the process of custom making all kinds of fishing rods from Dakota Krupp of DJKUSTOMS. He makes some amazing rods, if your intetested in getting your own custom made rod get ahold of him.

Don't forget we have our club meeting tonight 7 p.m. at Trier-Puddy American Legion in
Fond du lac. Dakota Krupp will be give a presentation on rod building. See you then!!

Update!! We can only bring 5 people on the 20th. More may be able to go the following week.
Musky clipping and tagging for the Lake Winnebago muskies will occur on October 20th at the Wildrose hatchery. Arrival time around 8 am. Please contact Jeff Kliefoth if you plan on attending so we can give them a head count. Also the Elkhart Lake stocking and Fox Lake stocking will probably be next week or the week after. When I get an actual date I will update everyone.

Hey guys and gals, with it getting closer to the outing in October 16-18 at Lac Vieux Desert if we could start getting a head count of everybody who’s planning on staying at Wind Drift Resort that would be great. We’ll be able to have almost the entire resort to ourselves, 30+ beds in 7 cabins. You can rsvp with Jeff Klein at 920-517-8755
The more people that go the cheaper it will be for everyone, we have the entire resort to ourselves at an incredible discount. Even if your not currently a member but are interested in joining or just fishing for the weekend with our club contact Jeff Klein.

Recently spend a day in the boat with Gus Mantey of Sug's Fishing Guide Service. Wasn't able to boat a fish but had a few encounters and a couple misses. Gus really knows what he's doing and is happy to share his knowledge. If your looking for a great experience in the Vilas/Oneida County area get ahold of Gus, you won't be disappointed. And oh yeah his brand new Alumicraft boat is awesome!!
