What people with depression actually mean when they say "I'm tired."

- "I am unable to get pleasure from anything."
- "I feel like a burden."
- "I'm tired of falling a smile."
- "I feel numb."
- "I don't see the point in doing anything."
- "I'm tired of being at war with mt mind."

Now, for my own additions:
- "It's more acceptable for you to hear that I'm tired than depressed. Maybe you'll think I've been working hard and so I have earned this lethargy."

- "Trying to decide how to answer your question of 'How are you?' is exhausting: I either fake being fine or I risk being vulnerable and receiving the proverbial wince. I'll just say 'I'm tired.'

- "I can't believe I woke up yet again feeling powerless again. I'd rather go back to bed."
