City of Palms Jiu-Jitsu

Days like today are why we do this. 🥋

Louis brought home silver at IBJJF Master Worlds today, competing at the highest level of the sport and leaving everything he had on the mats. Then, in front of the crew, Coach Brock promoted him to brown belt.

Two moments he’s more than earned. Years of showing up, putting in the reps, and grinding through the days nobody sees all paid off in a big way today. On top of it all, Louis is the kind of teammate who makes the room better every time he steps in, always willing to help coach, pour into the newer guys, and share what he knows.

Congratulations Louis. Beyond proud of you. 🤎🙌

Got to spend yesterday morning teaching a women’s self-defense class and it did not disappoint. Ladies put in the work, and picked up some real skills they can carry with them.

Every woman should know how to handle herself if the moment ever calls for it. Happy we got to be the ones to pass that on today.

September 23rd, City of Palms is hosting a No Gi Seminar with Rafael Lovato Jr.

This is a chance to learn directly from one of the sharpest systems in modern jiu-jitsu, concepts, details, and game plans you can actually take back to the mats and use.

White belt or black belt, competitor or hobbyist — if you love the art, be in the room.

On August 29, City of Palms is hosting a FREE Women’s Self-Defense Class — and every woman in our community is invited.

You don’t need any experience. You don’t need a gi. You don’t need to be “in shape.” You just need to show up. Our coaches will walk you through practical, real-world techniques designed to help you stay aware, stay safe, and feel confident in situations that matter most.

Self-defense isn’t about being tough — it’s about being prepared. And the best time to learn is before you ever need it.

Bring a friend, a sister, a mom, a daughter!

Ran a special class for the City of Palms dads, the guys who drop off, pick up, cheer on, and hold it all down for their kids every single week. Today they got to step on the mats themselves and see what their little ones are doing out here.

Dads are superheroes. Thankful for every one of you who showed up, laughed with us, sweated with us, and rolled with us. This one was a blast. 🙌
