Took the Highlander to .off.road rally course out of curiosity and it actually wasn't half bad. Beat my Yaris time from a year ago. Got in some hops. Had fun. Surprisingly, I wasn't the only one there in a stock Highlander.

Took the ISF this past weekend to SCCA Appalachian HillClimb Series Presented by Summit Racing in Manchester, KY and it was an entire ordeal getting there – that’s another story. When I first saw this hill announced I was honestly a bit disappointed because it was short - only 0.8 miles, but it isn't to be underestimated. It's very twisty and very narrow – it felt around a few ft wider than the width of the car in most places.

This was my first time driving the F in any sort of competitive capacity and because I had very little sleep, gave myself some pretty wide margins. Going from a 2000 lb, 140hp, 5spd standard car to a 4000 lb, 400hp, 8spd auto car is a decent learning curve. I meant to take it to a local autocross the weekend before but had to do some emergency maintenance that took the time from me. I made it only in time for Sunday and for half of that morning I was taking a much needed nap. Lol

Considering this was the car’s maiden voyage, running on 300tw tires, only getting in 5 runs, and being extremely fatigued, I ended up with a time I was satisfied with.

This might actually be my favorite hill and I can’t wait to see what the MR2 will do here.

The livery here was based on the ww2 era Ki-43 Hayabusa fighter. See last picture. Wanting to give it a fun livery for the event, I searched "red Japanese ww2 fighter" and there it was.
