Our last alumni to share happens to be one that has come back to be a current team coach. Coach Audrey! She is thankful for gymnastics bringing her friendships better than ordinary ones because they grew side by side through every triumph and fail. Along the way she gained more than friends, she gained sisters.

Celebrating 45 years!
From alumni Katie, "Not only did I learn from wonderful coaches who truly cared about us, but I gained confidence, discipline, and friends for life!"

Alumni Jess said she “basically grew up at the gym!” 💙 She started at just 6 years old and stayed through high school, even making FGC her first job after graduation.

She fondly remembers her coaches; Tammy, Eric, Kirk, Mimi, Cory, Heather, Jenn, and so many others who shaped her journey.

And who could forget our home competitions with themes her mom made come to life like “Intergalactic Space Classic” and “Flip Like an Egyptian,” with incredible decorations and backdrops!

Celebrating 45 years of FGC!

We loved hearing these memories from one of our alumni, Heidi—traveling to meets with teammates, gym sleepovers, pancakes with the coaches, and staying late with Mr. Luke working on bars and overcoming fears.

One memory especially reminds us of what FGC has always been about: during a tough practice Heidi said she was encouraged to choose a quote from the quote wall. She chose, “Don’t measure yourself by someone else’s yardstick”—a lesson she still carries with her today.

And, of course, meeting her lifelong best friend Kira at FGC (and creating their own sign language because they talked too much at practice!)

We love seeing this support system of friends and teammates. Senior Sapphire gymnast Ainsley had the support of her gymnastics teammates for senior night at Volleyball.
