We do have question for all the gun rights organizations, lawyers and "representatives" and senators, "fighting" for our rights. Who is fighting the HB 1525 B.S.? That is the one that wont allow someone who can be drafted, or join the military and possibly die for our country, but cannot buy an "Assault" weapon now. NO ONE IS TALKING ABOUT IT.
I have had many customers have to return their purchases because of this b.s. and NO ONE, State Reps included is saying a thing.
All the focus is on the Carry and the AWB. But a 20yo still cannot buy a pistol grip M4 or equivalent because of Spam-burgers emergency signing on 4/22/26. That was effective immediately and they could have started that back then, and shown harm just like the previous "underage" ban that was deemed unconstitutional. Easy Layup to me. But then again, I don't know law-yer stuff.

From Tim Attorney Tim Anderson:Senator Stanley had a great victory in Washington County yesterday obtaining the preliminary injunction on the assault weapons ban.
However - reading the judges opinion decision - it says:
“For the foregoing reasons, the Motion for Preliminary Injunction enjoining the Defendants from enforcing the subject Fi****ms Ban and Magazine Bans as contemplated by the recently enacted Senate Bill 749 and House Bill 217 is GRANTED.”
The defendants are the state police and The Commonwealth’s Attorneys for Washington, Chesterfield, Frederick, York, Giles, and Chesapeake.
Injunctions are against the parties. I don’t see how we can apply this to anyone other than the parties.

One of our filter manufacturing partners (First Brands) unexpectedly halted production of most filters, including AMSOIL Oil Filters, which is limiting our ability to maintain typical filter inventories. In order to stretch our existing inventory as long as possible, we have temporarily discontinued the option to purchase filters in case quantities for all customer and account types.
We were exploring new filter partnerships prior to this unexpected disruption, and we have a new agreement now. It will still take time to resume production of AMSOIL Oil Filters; we expect to be back to full strength in approximately 3 - 4 months. In the meantime, WIX Oil Filters remain available as a high-quality replacement for AMSOIL Oil Filters.

We apologize for this disruption. It affects many businesses in our industry. We have acted swiftly to boost our supply of WIX filters in the interim and secure new partnerships that will allow us to bring AMSOIL Oil Filters back to market as quickly as possible for the customers we serve.

The Washington Injuction that came out, is really no better.
It effects only the defendants that were named by the plaintiffs.

The Washington County opinion is out on Virginia’s “assault weapon” ban.

It’s an excellent opinion. The court says all the right things and grants a second preliminary injunction.

But here’s the catch: it is not a statewide injunction.

The injunction applies to the defendants in the case:

* Superintendent Katz (Virginia State Police)
* The Commonwealth’s Attorneys for Washington, Chesterfield, Frederick, York, Giles, and Chesapeake.

That’s it.

A Fairfax County police officer can still make an arrest. A Fairfax Commonwealth’s Attorney can still prosecute. A Fairfax judge can still hear the case because they are not parties to this injunction.

That’s the problem. Virginians’ constitutional rights shouldn’t depend on what county they’re standing in.

Strong opinion. Limited relief. What a mess.

To all firearm dealers.

Unless a broad injunction is entered in Washington county - do not sell anything deemed an “assault weapon” or any pistol with a magazine capacity of more than 15 after Tuesday June 30.

If customers go into delayed status - you cannot transfer the item after June 30. Refund the money. Do not release the product.

While the State police is enjoined - the local police are not. Further, even if you live in a jurisdiction where a Commonwealth attorney has said they will not prosecute. You cannot rely on that. A court could find willful refusal to enforce law to be a conflict and appoint a special prosecutor.

Don’t risk it. Making a small profit on a unit could cost you tens of thousands in legal fees and possibly your liberty. Wait for the courts to intervene.
