Extremely thankful for this great opportunity to have such hardworking and determined kids & coaches here at CWC. This past Sunday we recognized our guys and gals on a job well done this off season. Just a short recap of what our kids did this summer:

Taina Fernandez - won her third U17 world Gold Medal!

Alexander “AK” Fernandez : double AA at kid’s nationals freestyle National champion, Greco 3rd place

Esaias Perez: Double Finalist at Kid’s Nationals in Freestyle and Greco.
Zakey Tsarni: Double AA at kid’s nationals 2nd in Greco, 4th in freestyle

Noah Tucker: Jr freestyle and Greco AA at Fargo

We have a special guest coming in tonight for practice! Former UFC fight and judo specialist Natan Levy will be running practice tonight!

It’ll be a great opportunity to learn some world class throws, ties, etc.

On August 22nd, CWC will be hosting a 2hr wrestling clinic with Frostburg’s women’s wrestling head coach Breonnah Neal and assistant coach Nestor Varona! It is open to Only Girls, and all age groups. If you are a member of CWC, then just check in. If you are not a CWC Member, then it will be a $20 drop in fee.

This is another great opportunity to get in front of College coaches and literally learn from the best coaches. Frostburg is a local college that is about to drastically improve with Coach Varona being added to the staff along with Coach Neal at helm! Good things coming in Frostburg.

Prepping for preseason competition!

Very proud of the progress that our L1 Youth and Highschool group is making. It’s good having both the youth and HS group in training together, it gives the youth a good example of how to train properly and it also holds the HS group accountable of doing the right things as the youth observes and looks to them for direction. Keep up the good work guys!

Fargo Recap (Girls):

The ladies did not disappoint. Unlike the past fews and even when the Fargo held its first women’s tournament, our gals competed on the last couple days instead of being at the start of the tournament. Super proud of the way our ladies competed, they fought hard and showed a lot of progress over the past year.

Huge Congratulations to our 140lbs 16U FS National Champion Kesi Tsarni. This has been a long time coming for Big K, she has always been right there in the midst but this time she punched and claimed her first national title! This is only the beginning Big K, keep up the good work!

Congratulations to Summer Mutschler (JR 110lbs FS) who claim All American status for the first time in her career at Fargo! Keep up the good work, better is on the way for you Summer!

Congratulations to Denna Momeni (16U 145lbs FS) on making her Fargo debut having only wrestled for 2 years and was a match shy from claiming All American status. Big D has made some serious jumps in her wrestling over the past year, keep up the good work! You’re close to a breakthrough!

Congratulations to Yael Wexler (170lbs 16U FS) on making her Fargo Debut as well. Fell short but has been showing much progress over these past couple of months. She is young but has even scratched the surface in what she can do! Excited to see you grow!
