Today we celebrate Starr Shepard! π
She's been with us since Day 1 and has made it over 300 classes!
"The biggest changes Iβve experienced through my regular yoga practice have been the cultivation of inner balance and deeper self-awareness amid both the beauty and brokenness of our world. Yoga has taught me how to stay present and trust myself through challenge and change. It is one of the most valuable investments Iβve made in my health and well-being. I believe that the calm that yoga cultivates within us ripples outward, allowing us to bring greater love, presence, compassion, and steadiness to the world around us."

Wow! What a joy it is to witness such growth and dedication!
Thank you Starr for always showing up with the biggest open heart!! π

It takes a lot of effort to keep showing up on your mat, at the studio; but after awhile it becomes non-negotiable because the rewards are monumental! π
So every step of the way we love to show our appreciation with little special gifts and acknowledgments - whether its 50 classes, 100, 200 or 300. π
Today we celebrate Rachael - the first yogi to attend 300 classes at Ananda! ππ»
We asked, "What has been the biggest change youβve experienced through your regular yoga practice?"
"When I first joined Ananda, I was at a pretty low place in my life. I had no peace in my heart or my mind. Making yoga a daily practice has changed my life in so many beautiful ways. It has taught me to slow down and be more present in my mind and body. It has given me an inner peace I never thought possible. It has helped me move through my grief and come out the other side much stronger and much more resilient. I am forever grateful, especially for finding such an incredible space to practice and for this community of wonderful people."
We love you Rachael!! .rach.001

OM Chanting is a group practice that uses the transformational power of om to activate the self-healing potential of participants. OM Chanting also brings people together in service of others. Like a prayer, the positive vibrations of om can be offered to support those in need.
The practice involves short introduction, written intention or prayer offering, 45 minutes chanting om, approximately 5 minutes in silence, and closing. The practice is done in seated position on the floor for the entire duration, it is possible to sit in a chair if you prefer. You must stay for the entire practice - arriving late or leaving before end time is not permitted.
This particular OM Chanting is connected to the teachings of Paramahamsa Vishwananda, founder of Bhakti Marga, kriya yoga master and disciple of Mahavatar Babaji.
Hundreds of OM Chanting circles of this lineage are practiced worldwide and have a profound impact on the individuals who participate as well as those who are held in awareness, and within the immediate surroundings.
