Yesterday’s annual “Pumpkin Bash” was a big success, from the gorgeous weather to the fun-filled pickleball games. We used AI to generate the teams this year and it clearly worked as evidenced by the extremely close scores in all divisions.

Congratulations to Team 9 - Leader Jack Fingerhut, Denise Carlson, Lois Gallagher, Addie Horwath, Ed Padar and James Sullivan for their first place win.

Congratulations also to Team 15 - Leader Ron Longino, Patti Alls, Frank Foreman, Dianna Franzen, Sharon Reed and Phillip Steffy for their second place finish.

Thanks to Stacy Group for the wonderful lunch; we appreciate their support every year. And shout out to all of the great volunteers who helped make the day a huge success!

Local Tournament Opportunity

It was the third year in a row for our SCTX Pickleball Club to host the Soldier Recovery Unit from Fort Campbell, Kentucky. The weather was perfect as we taught some soldiers how to play pickleball for the first time. Others already knew how to play and they got some tips and advice from some of our club members. The morning ended with a delicious barbecue lunch. We already are looking forward to them returning again in Fall 2025 - it was a great day!
